“Revolver” Movie Review
“Revolver” Plot Summary
Gambler Jake Green enters into a game with potentially deadly consequences.
Great performance!
This is my first review here, so please read other’s reviews as well before deciding if this movie is for you
An excellent performance by Ray Liotta, he’s been great throughout the entire movie. I haven’t seen him in films for a while, but sometimes he just manages to amaze me. A good actor knows how to shift between that solid, iron mask that defines his character, and the soft, narrow borderline that defines his personality. In this picture, Ray did it amazingly
The film is well worth seeing by all those who like psychological and mob-style movies
Probably not the best of its kind, but for the performance of the actors, for the script well written, for the action-packed adventure of our hero, I gave it a 9 out of 10. And I don’t give 10 very often :)All-in-all, a very good opinion.

Amazing amazing movie that will catch you by surprise.
I was rather bored this evening, and just decided to watch Revolver. I have recently learned that Guy Ritchie is one of my favorite Directors and Producers out there right now. So, using IMDb I decided to search ‘Guy Ritchie’ and look at the list of movies he was involved in. I discovered Snatch; Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels, and Revolver. I watched the first two being extremely pleased with them both. All that was left that interested me was Revolver, and man it was a case of saving the best for last
Firstly, I want to mention I wasn’t even registered with IMDb up until a minute ago. This movie was so profoundly deep and interesting, along with action packed, that it actually caused me to register on this website and type up this review. Secondly, keeping the cast section short and sweet; how can you go wrong with Stathom and Liotta? Exactly, you can’t. Thirdly, I want to talk about what time, and what kind of people should watch this movie. This is not a movie you should sit down and watch with a group of friends, because 99% of them just wont get it and will just make dumb-founded comments about how bad the movie is. This is because if you think this movie is bad, it is because you just didn’t understand it, plain and simple. And seeing as a group of friends watching a movie wouldn’t be giving the screen 100% of their attention 100% of the time, this is a movie to watch alone. Also, you shouldn’t watch this movie if you’re expecting to not think a bit. This is not the movie to watch for the sole reason you have nothing else better to do. You need to watch it when you can devote time, and brain power to truly understand the points
I am not going to spoil anything, but I cannot complete this review without mentioning something special about this movie…. Revolver, by far, has one of if not the most intense, helpless, nail-biting, and emotionally exhausting slow-motion scenes I have ever seen in any movie, bar none. For the first time in my life, I became one of those people that scream at the T.V because I was pulled so far in. Again, not spoiling anything, i’m just going to let you know what to look for. The scene i’m talking about is in a restaurant and is in slow-motion and involves actor Ray Liotta. There is a lot of noise and commotion going on in the entire set, but Liotta’s little portion is breathtaking. The piano piece playing slowly and calmly in the background of all of this commotion is the icing on the cake of the most intense slow-motion scene in any movie, ever. I am going to load up the movie again after this just to watch that one scene again
The only real bad thing that I felt was kind of off in this movie was an anime type, cartoon sequence. If you have seen any Kill Bill, that’s exactly the type of thing i’m talking about. It just felt really out of place
All in all this is the best movie I have seen in a very long time. With an extremely deep and thought provoking story, Guy Ritchie has done it again.’There is no such thing as an external enemy, no matter what that voice in your head is telling you. All perception of an enemy is the projection of the ego as the enemy.’< Movie Quote.

A True Masterpiece
First let me start off by saying that this movie is certainly not for everyone. In my honest opinion it takes a truly open minded movie lover to really appreciate the magnitude of the ideas being presented in this movie
I just finished watching this movie and must say that I am blown away. It has all the ingredients of being a classic movie (too bad it is highly underrated); GREAT acting, GREAT storyline, GREAT directing; GREAT use of music, just all around GREAT.If you are a person who enjoyed movies such as The Usual Suspects, Donnie Darko, 12 Monkeys to name a few then I am sure you will also enjoy this one
A must see for the avid movie watching.
