“The Recruit” Movie Review
“The Recruit” Plot Summary
A brilliant young CIA trainee is asked by his mentor to help find a mole in the Agency.
Good film, good cast
Colin Farrell, Al Pacino and Bridget Moynihan star in ‘The Recruit,’ a 2003 film directed by Roger Donaldson. Farrell plays a young man recruited by the CIA in the person of Pacino; while training at Langley, he gets close to another trainee (Moynihan). Once out of training, he’s told she’s an infiltrate from another country assigned to following her
As is often said in the film, nothing is as it seems, and both Farrell and the audience are bamboozled more than once. The film has many twists and turns, all of which add up to a very absorbing movie. A weary-looking Pacino is excellent as always, and Farrell is effective
This one keeps the surprises coming, so pay attention.

Best New Movie I Have Seen In A While
Alright writing this review without giving out parts of the plot will be hard so forgive me if it seems too vague. I can’t possible give anything away because the way this movie unrolls will keep you on the edge of your seat and the less you know the more entertaining it will be. I can’t pinpoint one thing that drew me to this movie the most, I think it was a compounding of a great story, great acting and exciting direction. The story is really cool and just when you think you have it figured out something happens and the whole story chances. Some would say confusing, but those people don’t like to think. People arnt used to having to think and process events because of the poorly written movie. The Recruit is great because you need to figure out what is happing and that is half the fun. The acting is also very effective in this movie. I am a big Pacino fan and he comes off great in this movie as usual. Colin Farrell suprized me and gave a simple but not understated preformance. The dialog suits both characters well and remains fresh and sometimes humorous(the movie has little jokes to keep it from taking it’s self too seriously. The directing keeps the movie exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat. The camera angles sometimes made me think that something was going to happen and that was a cool effect. I was kept on edge for the movie and that is what I was looking for when I sat down to watch it. Only downside is questionable practices in the training and the USB thing (after you see it you will understand). This is a very good movie DONT SLEEP ON IT! I give it a 8.5/10

An action film to enjoy
Some people who have commented on this film seem to have been disappointed because of an expectation they were going to be viewing one of the great action thrillers of all time. This is just one of a number of action movies this year, with a bit of a twist in them, put out to appeal to the mass market. Considering that, I thought it was very good, a bit more to think about than most, and it kept me guessing for a while. Colin Farrell is excellent, Al Pacino is as good as always, and the CIA theme is relatively fresh and interesting.
