    “Chicken Little” Movie Review

    “Chicken Little” Plot Summary

After ruining his reputation with the town, a courageous chicken must come to the rescue of his fellow citizens when aliens start an invasion.

a nice movie with great messages to kids

2005’s version of Chicken Little had me from the start with its clever poster: The End Is Near, with CL’s rear facing me. I laughed at the poster a lot. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as entertaining as I’d hoped it would have been. I enjoyed hearing Zach Braff and Gary Marshall perform as Chicken Little and his dad respectively, as they are both 2 of comedy’s bright stars

The film follows Chicken Little (Braff), who was made a social outcast for claiming that the sky was falling. Now, later on, Chicken happens to notice the same things he noticed the first time. What to do?I loved the messages the film sends to our youth, and the parents of the world. A message sent to kids is this: if something’s on your mind, if something’s bothering you, tell someone. Don’t hide it in, because the truth is always the right thing to say. What a great message to send in a children’s film. The other message sent to the parents here is this: Parents, listen to your children, and stand by them no matter what. Both of these themes are expressed throughout the film, which is barely above 80 minutes, perfect for an animated children’s movie

I, being 17, felt left out when I watched this because I couldn’t stay interested as much as my siblings were. It’s an excellent film for kids ages 5-10, above average for 11-13, and mediocre to poor to anyone above those ages. I recommend Chicken Little to any young child and I also recommend that a parent watches it with said child, because it’s a great family movie that you’ll enjoy

    CHICKEN LITTLE 6/10 –spy

    “Toy Story 2″ Plot Summary

When Woody is stolen by a toy collector, Buzz and his friends vow to rescue him, but Woody finds the idea of immortality in a museum tempting. add synopsis

Cute Toys Are Back With A Bang For More Adventure

It’s been about a decade since I last saw ‘Toy Story’. Thus, it would be unfair to compare that with ‘Toy Story 2′. Pixar has produced numerous gems since the first ‘Toy Story’. This one is a sheer delightful adventure and it’s not one that is only limited to entertaining children. There are the charming characters from the old one and some wonderful new characters that include the energetic Jessie the Yodelling Cowgirl, the hot barbies and Woody’s faithful and hyper steed. The animation is superb and looks refreshing. The story too takes a new turn that presents the dilemma of whether one should live an eternal life of wealth and security or an unpredictable life that at least promises a few years of love. The actors do a fine job lending their voice. Hanks and Allen are back as Woody and Buzz and Joan Cusack is a treat as the vivacious Jessie. But I must add that I loved Buzz’s gang that includes the hilarious Rex and the lovable Slinky, the resourceful Mr. Potatohead and the cute Hamm, and their attempts to rescue Woody and bring him back home. There’s a beautiful song by Sarah Mclachlan that dictates Jessie’s pain. The sequel being a huge hit just proves how timeless the characters are and I want to see ‘Toy Story’ again just to follow the whole story. It’s already been a decade since, but I wonder whether they’ll make a sequel and what the fate of our toy friends will be once Andy has grown up. ‘Toy Story 2′ is an unforgettable adventure with a beautiful soul.

    “The Haunted Mansion” Movie Review

    “The Haunted Mansion” Plot Summary

Workaholic Jim Evers, his wife/business partner and their two kids are summoned to a mansion. When they discover that the place is haunted, Jim discovers an important lesson about the family he’s neglected as they attempt to escape.

    Disney’s Latest Ghost Story

‘The Haunted Mansion’ is the latest movie to be based upon an attraction at the Disney theme parks. It stars Eddie Murphy as Jim Evers, a workaholic real estate agent who finds himself and his family trapped in a mansion infested with ghosts. The movie doesn’t rank as well as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.’ The story isn’t all that it should be. But the movie does have its good points. The art direction is beautiful, and there are plenty of visual gems. The ghosts seen in the graveyard are probably the best part of the movie. Terence Stamp puts in a suitably creepy performance as Ramsley, the butler, and Jennifer Tilly is kooky as Madame Leota. ‘The Haunted Mansion’ is no ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ but it is still worth a look.

    “Our House (Duplex)” Plot Summary

A young couple has a chance to move into a gorgeous duplex in the perfect New York neighborhood. All they have to do is bump off the current tenant, a cute little old lady. add synopsis

    DeVito does it again

From the twisted mind of Danny DeVito comes this story in the style of ‘War of the Roses’. Here, a nice NY couple finally find their dream home only to discover that they have a built in tenant. Not exactly what they were looking for but it really can’t be that bad can it? The little old lady that lives upstairs turns out to be a nightmare and a half. In a variety of scenarios, most comical and some just plain, outright strange, the nice couple turn into psycho landlords and the nice old lady turns into the crazy bat upstairs. In the end, the twist comes as a true surprise. A hilarious, laugh out loud movie, this was really enjoyable and a must watch. DeVito has done it again and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next!!!8/10

    “Toy Story” Plot Summary

A cowboy toy is profoundly threatened and jealous when a fancy spaceman toy supplants him as top toy in a boy’s room.

A Monumental Achievement in the Cinema

‘Toy Story’ is a real sight to behold because it is the first feature-length, computer-animated film. Once you get passed the amazing visual effects, you see a really great film that works because of interesting characters and a second-to-none screenplay. Even the roughest of critics would have trouble finding problems with this winner. 5 stars out of 5.

    “The Incredibles” Movie Review

    “The Incredibles” Plot Summary

A family of undercover superheroes, while trying to live the quiet suburban life, are forced into action to save the world.

Good Entertainemt For About Any Age

This was somewhat of a surprise hit when it came out in 2004. Most of the attention was on a competing animated film but this is the one that turned out to be a huge box-office success. Word of mouth helped his immensely. It’s what made me check it out, as several friends recommended it. I wound up agreeing with them: it’s excellent entertainment

The visuals and sound are very impressive, but it’s the story that carries this film: a solid combination of humor, drama, suspense, family ties and action. The action, as in many modern-day films, was overdone in the last half hour of the movie but overall….the DVD is a good investment since people 3 to 63 should enjoy this

As an adult, it’s not always easy to keep my attention for two hours with animation but the fact this movie does, tells you how good the story is presented. There are wonderful colors in here, too, and a good 5.1 surround system with a sub-woofer would probably blow the roof off!
