“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” Movie Review

“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” Plot Summary

Four London working class stiffs pool their money to put one in a high stakes card game, but things go wrong and they end up owing half a million pounds and having one week to come up with the cash.

    entertaining

For $8 million, this is a fricking monument of 1990’s film. The first time I saw it I laughed at most of the jokes and followed the plot with pleasure. That’s more than I can say about any number of movies in the 1990’s that cost ten times as much to make and starred pricey talent. The editing is clever and cute. The casting is just short of flawless. Of the four principles, only Bacon seemed consistent to me. The minor parts were sometimes spectacular, esp. Big & Little Chris and Barry the Baptist

There are some legitimate complaints about this movie. The big one is that it doesn’t really go anywhere or mean anything. It seems like an awful lot of flash and talent to end up saying nothing about anything. But um it’s not like Lock, Stock is trying to be anything it isn’t, so maybe it’s not a valid critique after all. Considering how long Tarrantino’s influence has been around, it’s a little unfair to call Ritchie on imitating him. There are some similarities large casts, distinct characters, clever dialogue, rapid shifts in narratives from one string to another and shifting in time, and few other things. I think the problem is that years of dumbing down by Hollywood have almost eliminated all these things. The influence is there certainly, but it would not seem as pronounced if there were any other hugely exposed filmmakers in recent memory that put as much emphasis on dialogue and character besides Tarantino

I haven’t watched MTV since the mid-1980’s, so the style of Lock Stock and Snatch didn’t seem trite to me. Some people I talked to said that the film style was too much like the average car commercial or pop video, which is getting the influence backwards, but I could see how those associations would spoil the experience.

    “Swordfish” Movie Review

    “Swordfish” Plot Summary

A secretive renegade counter-terrorist co-opts the world’s greatest hacker (who is trying to stay clean) to steal billions in US Government dirty money.

    Great movie! Travolta is back!

When I first saw the previews for this movie, I thought, ‘Yeah, that looks cool, but… I really didn’t like Gone in 60 Seconds.’ I didn’t have the chance to see it in the theater, but I did buy the dvd. All I can say is, it was a good thing that I did! Unlike Gone in 60 Seconds, this movie is much more plot oriented. You need to pay attention to this movie to fully understand the plot. I really don’t see how people can say that this plot is confusing. It makes sense as long as you watch and pay attention, just like all movies. Also, the action scenes are just incredible to watch, especially with the dvd that uses 5.1 sound. The ending and the villains motives will shock you! The movie will also cause you to contemplate many things once the movie has ended. By the way, Halle Berry looks amazing in the movie! All in all this movie is just the epitome of cool, and it was definately one of the better action movies of 2001. Finally Travolta is back at what he does best. As a side note, this is a hell of a lot better then BATTLEFIELD EARTH,which by the way was not as bad as everyone said it was. I really think that you should see this, I don’t think that you will be dissapointed.9/10 Great.

“Gone in Sixty Seconds” Movie Review

“Gone in 60 Seconds” Plot Summary

A retired master car thief must come back to the industry and steal 50 cars with his crew in one night to save his brother’s life.

    Good action film

I have seen a lot of good action films in my day and this one is definitely one of the best ones. If you want to enjoy a film including amazing cars, an interesting and innovative plot and obviously if u want to see the beautiful Angelina Jolie, this is the film for you. The film gives you an interesting view into the life of modern and old school car thief’s. The film always keeps you excited and might have some twists, I don’t know…well…I might know I don’t want to spoil it for you. This film is a one of a kind and i reckon you see it as quick as possible, trust me you will enjoy it. Not only is the plot interesting but all the characters are being so represented in such a cool and interesting way that you just start thinking:’ I would love to be like them.’. Enjoy the film. ;)

    “Snatch.” Movie Review

    “Snatch” Plot Summary

Unscrupulous boxing promoters, violent bookmakers, a Russian gangster, incompetent amateur robbers, and supposedly Jewish jewelers fight to track down a priceless stolen diamond.

    One Insane and Excellent Film

I honestly never really cared of Guy Richie and had no intention of ever trying to see anything he did, I mean the guy’s married to Maddona

Snatch is one of those rare movies that you can easily pick up and watch over and over again. Not since Pulp Fiction have I ever been able to watch a movie and laugh at the jokes Every time I watch it. Yes, for those of you who haven’t seen it, Snatch is very funny. Filled with very memorable characters, very creative direction and editing and top notch performances from everyone involved, Snatch is very easy to recommend and is a riot when watching it with friends (Who have very dark tastes.) Go and watch this movie today if possible 10 out of 10.

    “Rush Hour 3″ Plot Summary

After an attempted assassination on Ambassador Han, Lee and Carter head to Paris to protect a French woman with knowledge of the Triads’ secret leaders.

GREAT……..i wish it was longer but it was great…GOOD

RushHour3 better then the first one and second. Yes it was short, but it’s doesn’t matter how long the movie is or how short as long as the people love and enjoy. That what counts and man when I saw this movie whole audience was non-stop laugh and a lot of claps…if Transformers didn’t had all those special effects and stuff than I would say Rushhour3 was more better than Transformers but Rushhour3 is a good movie. If you miss the first or second one it’s OK because you will still love and enjoy this movie won’t stop laughing till it’s over with the outtakes. This movie is worth going to the movies and watch again with your that haven’t seen it. You will just start to laugh how it starts off in the begin. People might say the movie was short but ask them if they enjoyed the movie and would watch it again? And they will simple reply yes or YES!! OF COURES.

    “Year One” Movie Review

    “Year One” Plot Summary

Zed, a prehistoric would-be hunter, eats from a tree of forbidden fruit and is banished from his tribe… add synopsis

    Very Funny!!!

This was an extremely funny movie and had great gags, hilarious references to Biblical history, and much more! Jack Black was incredibly funny as a lazy hunter named Zed, and Michael Cera plays his friend who is a gatherer named Oh. When Zed is caught eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, he is banished from the tribe, but Oh decides to join him. They run into Cain and Able, meet Abraham, who is fixing to kill his son Isaac, stop Maya and Eema from becoming slaves, and much more! If you are a hardcore Christian, you may not like this movie, but it’s all in good fun! I highly recommend YEAR ONE!!!
