“The Shining” Movie Review

“The Shining” Plot Summary

A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.

One of the Scariest Movies Of All Time!!!

This is the classic horror! Stanley Kubrick’s Finest! The scariest of the ‘Kubrick Stares’ has to be Jack Nicholson looking through the door in the classic horror scene. The camera, music, acting, and scares are top notch! I highly recommend this movie to: Horror fans, Kubrick fans, psychological thriller fans, and even Nicholson fans. You will love this movie to death! Four out of four stars. A definative classic! SEE IT!

“Rocky II” Movie Review

“Rocky 2″ Plot Summary

Rocky struggles in family life after his bout with Apollo Creed, while the embarrassed champ insistently goads him to accept a challenge for a rematch.

I liked it a lot

Rocky 2 is a really good movie however I honestly don’t think its a necessary movie. The only real difference between this movie and the original is that Rocky wins in this one. I wanted Rocky to win in the first one like every underdog movie but the point of the first one was for him to go the distance. This movie is the ending that I would have liked for Rocky I but I honestly don’t think there needed to be a movie just for that. I enjoyed Rocky 2 and its a good sequel but I don’t think the movies necessary and its not necessary in the Rocky time line. I’ve seen worst Sports Movies and I’ve seen better Sports Movies. The movie also deals with how Rocky would seem if he was rich which is entertaining and interesting.

    “MIB 2″ Plot Summary

    Good

Nice, really nice. It has an origin mostly comic but has good special effects. It was inevitable to see negative comments here, is the norm. Cmq a good movie, the environments are good actors suited to the type of film. He certainly part ironic, comic, the environments are very well and the result can be considered as satisfactory. It is a shame that here there are elements that bring more than 7 film ridiculous as the army of darkness and films such as van helsing a miserable 5. Shame! I disagree with the standards is happening here, I am not convinced. In some cases there are good reviews, in other see that there are some ‘too many prejudices against certain films!

    “Rocky 5″ Plot Summary

Reluctantly retired from boxing and back from riches to rags, Rocky takes on a new protege who betrays him; As the champ’s son must adjust to his family’s new life after bankruptcy. add synopsis

    Surprisingly good.

I thought Rocky V was supposed to be bad?! No no no! It is certainly different from the other 4 in that this time Rocky is retired and is working at Mickey’s gym which he now owns…and looking after his son. Great, right? A father-son movie. But the wonderful thing is, it isn’t drawn out with boring scenes of bonding and what not. This movie made me more angry than Rocky IV even. I won’t say why for that would just ruin the fun part. This movie stays realistic to the character of Rocky, but this time it is more about his relationship not with himself but with the people around him. This movie is fun.

    8/10.

    “Hudson Hawk” Plot Summary

A cat burglar is forced to steal Da Vinci works of art for a world domination plot. add synopsis

    A good Saturday afternoon movie

Some movies you like and you just can’t explain it. The guy next to you is shouting ‘Garbage!’ and you are in the aisles laughing your a** off.

OK so the acting is overdone. News flash. It is supposed to be! It’s all overdone! The Richard Grant and Sandra Bernhard do a superb evil duo impression. Danny Aiello and Bruce are constantly getting into and out of impossible situations and having fun and being funny while doing it. The bottom line here is that I don’t think Bruce Willis intended this to be a serious film. It was a joke from the beginning and it provided a host of great and memorable laughs. When Bruce is on the hospital gurney and catches a cigarette, has a puff and then grimaces ‘Ewww, Menthol’ and throws it away. I nearly split my side. To a non-smoker that probably isn’t funny. As a former smoker and hater of menthol cigarettes I thought it was classic! Bottom line, the humor is subtle for this film. It relies on you to suspend your reality and you’ll have a great time. Try to pick apart its plot holes and improbable situations and you won’t. Take it for what it is, one man’s sense of humor. Personally I think Bruce Willis has a great sense of humor. I get it. Do you?

    Another Great Stallone Movie!!

***SPOILERS*** ***SPOILERS*** ‘Rocky III’ is another sequel from the first and second ‘Rocky’. It’s about Mr. T. wanting to have a match with Rocky(Stallone). It’s also about the statue of Rocky standing in Philadelphia. It’s sad when Mickey died after the boxing match in the middle of the movie. It was great when Rocky(Stallone) befriended Apollo Creed(Weathers) by working and exercising together for another boxing match with Mr. T. And by the way, ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ was a great song in this cool movie. ‘Rocky III’ has been one of the greatest Stallone movies ever created. I Highly Recommend It. **** out of **** stars and 10 out of 10 stars.

    “Rocky Balboa” Movie Review

    “Rocky 6″ Plot Summary

Rocky Balboa comes out of retirement to step into the ring for the last time and face the heavyweight champ Mason ‘The Line’ Dixon.

Best Movie of 2006 – Oscar worthy folks!

I hear talk of Leonardo DiCaprio possibly receiving an Oscar for his performance in Blood Diamond?! I apologize in advance for saying this, but come on…DiCaprio trying to put on the accent is not convincing whatsoever! What is convincing then, might you ask? Rocky Balboa, that’s what! Sylvester is the one that should be nominated for an Oscar folks. Sylvester put his heart and soul into this film, and it shows. One of the best movies that I have ever seen, in all honesty. I can’t think of one single bad thing to say about this film. I hope it does very well at the box office, because it deservedly should. Great script, great plot, great acting, wonderful surroundings/great camera shots & color of the city of Philly, the list could go on for days. $6? I would’ve paid twice that to see this film. I’m 27 years old, but no one is ever too old for Rocky Balboa. Wonderful closure to one of the best movie franchises in movie history, thank you Sylvester for everything that you’ve put into Rocky over the years. Hats off to you my friend

A deformed bellringer must assert his independence from a vicious government minister in order to help his friend, a gypsy dancing girl. add synopsis

The Best Film I’ve Ever Seen

Not too long ago, my sister watched Aladdin a lot. I thought the music was pretty good, and I wanted to check out more music by Alan Menken. I found Hunchback. I vaguely recalled scenes I had seen when I saw it at the theater (I was 5 or 6 then), so I wanted to remember what exactly happened in it. I listened to some of the music from it, and I was hooked. ‘Bells of Notre Dame’ and ‘Topsy Turvy’ continually play in my head (and I continually play them on the piano).

I honestly think this movie is the best film I have ever seen. The music is fantastic, the animation is great, and the story is touching and heartwarming. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good film.

    “Rocky IV” Movie Review

    “Rocky 4″ Plot Summary

When Apollo Creed is killed in a match against a powerful Soviet boxer, Rocky decides to challenge him himself. add synopsis

Much different from Rocky 1 but still entertaining

    Rated PG for Violence.

Rocky 1 was an Oscar-winning film with great acting, storyline, drama etc

Rocky 2 also had the drama and Rocky III had more action but still mixed drama into the storyline

Rocky IV came out and it was much different from the first film

This film is basically a revenge film which trades the original Bill Conti score for an all new heart-pumping 1980’s soundtrack

I think the soundtrack in this film is better but that’s probably because I like the type of music

The film’s storyline and acting may not be that good especially in comparison to the first Rocky film but the movie is very fun and it should keep you entertained for the short 1hr and 30min run time

This film and Rambo First Blood Part II were both films that portray the Russians as villains

Back in 1985, when both films were released, the USA and Russia were enemies and that is what contributed to the box office

This film and Rambo 2 were big high grossing movies

In this one, a Russian boxer named Ivan Drago(Dolph Lundgren) challenges American boxer’s to fight

Apollo Creed who has retired earlier, wants to fight him

During the match, he puts on a big show about America with James Brown singing

However, Ivan Drago who is very strong, kills Apollo in the ring

Drago does not seem very sorry that he killed him, so then Rocky Balboa decides to travel to Moscow, Russia to fight Drago

So he goes to Russia, trains in the show with heart-pumping 1980’s music playing and then fights Drago in which is one of the best fight’s in the series

Rocky IV may not have the good storyline of the first two films but it is a very fun and entertaining movie.
