“Coraline” Movie Review

“Coraline & The Secret Door” Plot Summary

An adventurous girl finds another world that is a strangely idealized version of her frustrating home, but it has sinister secrets.

Wonderfully animated; basically a ‘modern’ fairy tale…

If you like fairy tales, you will love this movie. This film has everything: story, funny characters, entertaining dialog, good scenes, beautiful animation and a nice moral

I loved Coraline. It’s a very kind, but also mysterious movie about a young girl who, by pure curiosity, travels to a parallel dimension of her house. There she meets her ‘other mother’ and ‘other father’. Everything is fantastic and everyone seems so nice. However, after awhile it becomes clear that a dark power is trying to lure Coraline away from her real family…There’s so much to tell about this movie, but I think it’s best that you go watch it yourself, before I spoil too much. Coraline is truly a wonderfully animated gem. It’s a movie you will watch again and again over the years, maybe as an annual tradition! 9 out of 10 stars!

    “Tomorrow Never Dies” Plot Summary

James Bond heads to stop a media mogul’s plan to induce war between China and the UK in order to obtain exclusive global media coverage. add synopsis

    Perfect!

When I received every movie in the James Bond DVD collection (the one with seven movies) for my birthday except for The Man with The Golden Gun, there were three movies in the set that I hadn’t seen. The first one I checked out was Tomorrow Never Dies, and I loved it. Our piece of trash DVD player kept freezing, but I managed to watch the whole thing to the end. The movie kicks off with Bond investigating a terrorist arms market somewhere in Russia and has to escape being blown up by a missile launched by a ship at sea. This scene is great, and after the cool animations and the pretty good theme song by Sheryl Crow, things really start to heat up. Media mogul Elliot Carver, played excellently by Jonathan Pryce, is bent on starting an entire news network that reports nothing but bad news. Carver is trying to get Britain and China to attack each other and start a new world war. All this is great, but there are a few disappointments. For one, I think Paris Carver should have been given more time in the movie. Her character could really have played a great part in the end. There also should have been another action scene or two sandwiched somewhere in the movie. However, this is a still great movie that I recommend. 4 stars out of 5.

    “Tango & Cash” Movie Review

    “Tango and Cash” Plot Summary

Two cops are framed and must clear their names. add synopsis

    A great action comedy.

Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell star as Ray Tango and Gabe Cash. This is the first time these 2 action stars have appeared on screen together. They both have good chemistry together and there are many funny one-liners. Tango and Cash are rival cops who ends up on the same case, but they’re both framed for murder. They lose their case and end up in jail, even worse they end up in general population after being switched overnight.

This was set up by a man who wants Tango and Cash off the streets because they’re the two toughest cops. Tango and Cash team up to break out of prison and find the man who framed them. The movie has plenty of funny moments, great shooting and fighting scenes. This is over the top and cheesy at times, but a really good action movie. This is just about the only movie where Stallone is funny too. He plays a character much different from his usual characters. Sly and Kurt Russell are 2 of the best action stars and they make a great duo. The movie also features a 25 year old Teri Hatcher who looks much better than she does now.

The cast is great, the movie is action-packed and the film is funny. This is very entertaining.

    “Spy Kids” Plot Summary

The children of secret-agent parents must save them from danger. add synopsis

Spy kids is a great movie which kids and adults can enjoy

I think Spy kids and Shrek are parents because both are thought for the children but adults can enjoy them very much, too

Spy kids is a great movie which all family can enjoy

The exaggerations the movie has and the credibility excess didn’t bother me because they are complements of the universe this movie has

The cast is really well but Daryl Sabara and Alexa Vega stole the show

Robert Rodriguez created an excellent universe on Spy kids

The movie is so fun that it passes like 10 minutes

I totally recommend this movie which will be more enjoyed watching it in family

    “Resurrecting the Champ” Movie Review

    “Resurrecting the Champ” Plot Summary

Up-and-coming sports reporter rescues a homeless man (“Champ”) only to discover that he is, in fact, a boxing legend believed to have passed away. What begins as an opportunity to resurrect Champ’s story and escape the shadow of his father’s success becomes a personal journey as the ambitious reporter reexamines his own life and his relationship with his family.

    Good media movie with a great message!! :) :) :) :)

This film portrayed the media world extremely accurately, largely due to the fact that it was based on a true story. The way they explain how the internet has an effect on jobs and styles of writing in journalism, along with how important it is to be thorough in background checks as well as in the writing itself. This film sends a good father-son message out there with Erik (the journalist), his son, and the Champ. Both Erik and the Champ try to be the best in what they do so their respective sons will be proud of them. In the end this turns catastrophic because Erik does not do enough searching for facts and does too much trusting in a man he knows nothing about. Both men regret their actions and try to make mends with everyone they have hurt. This film has a great story with an even better message of the media world.
