“Once Upon a Time in Mexico” Movie Review

“Once Upon a Time in Mexico” Plot Summary

Hitman “El Mariachi” becomes involved in international espionage involving a psychotic CIA agent and a corrupt Mexican general.

    Enjoyable

Once Upon a Time is overall a pretty enjoyable movie. Despite its bizarre randomness, action fans will love the fighting scenes and gun play. Not to mention the characters who were actually somewhat interesting and not stolen, which has got to be a first when it comes to the action genre. I can honestly say that I enjoyed all of the characters, even that stupid Taco Bell type dog that the American carried around and put a wiretap on. I really don’t have too many complaints about the movie, and thought it was interesting throughout

El was a crazy, crazy man. If cornered by a massive army, he would just whip out his guitar and fire off grenades and laser beams taking everyone out, saving his guitar until the end. He would then throw it at General Marquez, causing a 1 Megaton nuclear warhead to go off right behind him as he makes his escape into a hand-made shelter from his Mexican buddies.7.5 / 10

    “Predator 2″ Movie Review

    “Predator 2″ Plot Summary

Amidst a territorial gang-war, a sophisticated alien hunter stalks the citizens of Los Angeles and the only man between him and his prey is veteran LAPD officer, Lieutenant Mike Harrigan. add synopsis

One of my all time favorite Sci-fi’s

I found this sequel to be much more complex and also more entertaining than the original. First of all the original revolves around Arnold S.(although I still find it to be Arnold’s best movie, and also like Carl Weathers and Sonny Landham) who is this 80’s action-man stereo-type one-dimensional feel-no-pain killing machine who nobody in their right mind can identify with and second the jungle is much too obvious a studio set.

The second Predator on the other hand is set in an anarchic future in the asphalt-jungle, midst a drug dealers-police violent confrontation(I loved the war-zone-city vision), and hunted by government agents(this being an excellent pretext to display some stylish shooting-techniques and unusual angles, and also explain the creature’s nature and motives) who want to capture the beast(Gary Busey-another brilliant performance) to study it for it’s killing potential. The voodoo-gang’s whole mystique, the hard music score, the attention for detail – the south-American influenced interior design of the drug-lord apartment or the interior of the alien ship(there are some hidden treats for the trained eye, like the alien skull and other interesting trophies) and not at least the creature’s design are just a few examples for the stylish quality of this much better than the original sequel. Danny Glover brings a touch of real to the tough but human lead character while Bill Paxton(bad-mouthed as always-I just love this guy in everything he’s done), Ruben Blades and Conchita Alonso are the flavor of this adrenalin ride. Keep out an eye for the color composition of virtually every scene – a treat. There’s no killing what can’t be killed…

    “Step Brothers” Movie Review

    “Step Brothers” Plot Summary

Two spoiled guys become competitive stepbrothers after their single parents get hitched.

    Fantastic Movie

Saw this movie at a Sneak Preview and needless to say, this is movie is hilarious. There are big laughs left and right, non stop! and thank GOD it was rated R, it wouldn’t have been nearly as good! It was well written by Ferrell and Adam McKay. The dud that was Semi-Pro put a kink in Will’s career in my mind with his whole typical type-casting character he gets in scripts and the way he writes and lets be honest, it was getting old, but Step Brothers put out more than what i needed to get back on the bandwagon of his movies. The spotlight is equally shared between Ferrell and Riley throughout and it really makes you feel like being 12 again and living off of your parents, but watching 40 yr old men doing it is way funnier than any 12 year old can make their childhood seem!! A MUST SEE FOR ANY FERRELL OR RILEY FAN!! We all now can have faith put back into Will Ferrell!
