“The Untouchables” Movie Review
“The Untouchables” Plot Summary
Federal Agent Elliot Ness sets out to take out Al Capone; because of rampant corruption, he assembles a small, hand-picked team.
Great fun
A really terrific movie even if it does suffer from some plot holes and overly sentimental and long scenes, The Untouchables remains one of DePalma’s best, probably his last great film to date. Connery and Garcia are fantastic, and **spoiler alert** Connery’s death scene remains one of the best ever **. But as good as they are, De Niro’s Capone is a highlight, especially the ‘baseball’ scene. Well shot and well written as well. Lots of fun!

If I could go back…
I love this movie. I don’t know why. Maybe because I wonder what it would be like to start my life over again when I was 10 or 12, knowing what I know now at…well, much older. My favorite part is at the end, when Alan and Sarah come face to face in 1995 with the 2 kids who played the game with them the PREVIOUS 1995. Visually very interesting and not a rip off of any other film, that’s for sure!

The story about the lives of guards on death row leading up to the execution of black man accused of child murder & rape, who has the power of faith healing.
Excellent! Tom Hanks leads a wonderful cast in this great movie
What an excellent movie this picture was. When I first saw the trailers in October, I thought it might be pretty good.
The Green Mile exceeded my expectations. Tom Hanks leads a wonderful cast in this movie which stands out by far from most others. If you liked Shawshank Redemption, you’ll love this one. I’ve realized just how good Stephen King can write, now that I’ve seen this and Shawshank. It’s three hours long, and worth every minute of it. It touched me in many ways. I was fortunate enough to see it twice. And I will buy it on dvd as soon as it is available. The Green Mile will certainly become a classic. Go see it, you won’t be disappointed.

“Dogville” Movie Review
“Dogville” Plot Summary
A woman on the run from the mob is reluctantly accepted in a small Colorado town. In exchange, she agrees to work for them. As a search visits town, she finds out that their support has a price. Yet her dangerous secret is never far away…
Hard to digest, but great.
Tough. Once again Lars von Trier tortures the audience (as he did previously on Dancer in the Dark) by upraising the darkest side of the human being. From the beginning you know that things can only get worse, but I doubt that one can figure out neither what’s to come nor the powerful conclusion. Nicole Kidman’s interpretation is perfect – intense, poignant, passionate, you name it. She is fantastic and so is the small cast locked inside Dogville’s scenario (a wonderful creation – I wonder how something so simple can bring such a strong effect). Again, the entire cast is fantastic and for that goes an extra credit for Lars von Trier. His capability of pushing actors to the limit and extracting painful emotions from them creates a heavy atmosphere, full of tension and, at the same time, so familiar. It is not that Dogville represents the essence of our communities, but it exposes some aspects of our lives that we prefer to hide under the carpet.
