“Cradle 2 the Grave” Movie Review

“Cradle to the Grave” Plot Summary

A jewel thief’s daughter is kidnapped after he steals a collection of prized black diamonds, which aren’t at all what they seem. add synopsis

    Loved this little flick

Hey, it’s not Fellini, but I didn’t expect Fellini. It’s a good, old-fashioned, good guys vs bad guys kind of flick. One that’s fairly predictable, you can sit back, grab the popcorn, and just wait for the guys in the white hats to kick the butts of the guys with the black hats

So, the actors aren’t the best I’ve ever seen, but I was actually surprised and pleased with DMX’s performance, probably because I didn’t expect much and I don’t care for his ‘music’ at all. If nothing else, his character did come across as likable and he may surprise us all and improve with time. Both the movies I’ve seen him in, he at least portrays the ‘bad guy who’s not a bad guy at all,’ and at least gets a couple of points from me for trying to be a positive role model. I’ve seen Oscar winners who had worse performances, and people are being pretty hard on him on this board, but I think he did more than OK for the material he had to work with

The movie is provided with the obligatory comic relief with Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson, and some other supporting actors with whom I’m not familiar, and of course the Jet Li fight sequences are always worth watching. How anyone can move that fast is incredible and I could watch him read the Yellow pages aloud just to watch the fights

So, if it’s a good, old-fashioned throwback to the good guys vs bad guys movie you’re in the mood for, check it out

    I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

    “Something’s Gotta Give” Plot Summary

A swinger on the cusp of being a senior citizen with a taste for young women falls in love with an accomplished woman closer to his age.

    Good!

This movie is funny, cute, light-hearted, serious all rolled into one movie

Diane gives her all in the movie, she unleashes all the insane things women go through in life. Her story is fascinating. Jack Nicholson is of course his usual ’swaggering’ self in this movie. He gives us his normal antics throughout the movie. His ‘heart-attacks’ are priceless. You can’t help but love him! Keanu, he is incredible in this movie. He is sincere, intelligent and magical. Amanda Peet, is over the top as in most of her roles. Overall this movie was excellent!

“Beauty and the Beast” Movie Review

“Beauty and the Beast” Plot Summary

Belle, whose father Maurice is imprisoned by the Beast (really an enchanted Prince), offers herself instead and finds the prince inside the Beast.

The most beautiful love story ever told.

” The Beauty and The Beast” is one of the greatest stories ever told and one of the best movies from Disney that I watched in my life. I always identified myself with Belle, the girl who does not belong the place where she is lives and also with a big taste of reading lots of books. Our story takes part in France in 18 century, and our main character Belle is the prettiest girl in the city she lives, being the object of the affection and interest of Gaston, an arrogant man that has the sympathy of the people of the region.(And also considered a big catch for the girls of the city)But Belle is not interested in him and always imagined her life different from the domestic life people always imagine for her

One day, Belle’s father, an inventor, was going to sell one of his inventions and lost his ways, being attacked by wild animals and entering in a big dark mansion apparently without a owner. He stays there for a time, but soon the Beast comes up and attacks him, making him a prisoner in his castle

Belle stays worried and goes after her father in the mansion and there she sees the violent and awful beast who locked her father. She then makes a deal: Belle agrees to stay in the dark castle with the horrible beast in return to her father’s freedom. But with the time, Belle is going to discover all the magic that is beyond the castle, including the talking objects and even a nice side that the Beast has

This story is very inspiring and very beautiful! =)

    “The Santa Clause” Movie Review

    “The Santa Clause” Plot Summary

When a man inadvertantly kills Santa on Christmas Eve, he finds himself magically recruited to take his place. add synopsis

A very pleasant and amiable family Christmas film

I really liked this film, it is very funny and pleasant. Tim Allen gives a truly amusing performance as Scott Calvin, who replaces Santa after he falls off the roof. The plot is original, the script is fun, and the pace is surprisingly even. Don’t expect a classic like Scrooge(1951), the first 2 Home Alone movies or It’s a Wonderful Life, just expect a pleasant family Christmas film, that way the whole family is in for a good time. The film is directed with careful precision, and the characters are likable, though I did find the parents a tad too cliched and the film a tad too overly sentimental in places. If I had a favourite character, I think it was Judy, there was something about her truly infectious smile that made me warm to her. All in all, well above average and highly recommended. 8/10 Bethany Cox
