hong kong movies rock!
first of all understand what you are going to see: a ‘hong kong’ movie.if you don’t keep that in mind, you will not like it and criticize it or even worse compare it to a Hollywood made movie like saving private ryan. it’s like going to the MOMA and trying comparing an impressionist and a cubist.and as a ‘hong kong’ movie, it’s great. just great.the characters are painted black and white. the war scenes are exaggerated and truculent. and in this crazy scenario the path to redemption of men from different places and different races and cultures that must join their resources to survive.again, to be seen, as long as you understand what you’re watching.

“2012″ Plot Summary

Great roller-coaster ride
Okay, the first thing I’d like to say is, ignore those comments from members who belong to ‘the worst movie ever club!!’ These members think it is way cool to label every slightly disappointing movie as ‘ the worst movie ever’ and emphasize their juvenility with tons of exclamation marks. They think it is way cool to trash movies.
The movie just isn’t that bad. It’s not that great either so ignore those who gush and tell you how awesome it is and rate it 10 out of 10.
This is a film best viewed in the movie theaters on the largest screen possible to enjoy the thrilling sensation of cities breaking up, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. This is indeed a thrilling roller-coaster ride. It is best to leave your brain at home, however, as you will cringe at the clichГ©s, the schmaltz, and the absurdities. That doesn’t make it the worst film ever, though. So go for the ride and enjoy the CG effects.

A Solar eclipse occurs when a relatively small, dark, cold object comes between an observer and the brilliance of the sun. A Best Picture eclipse occurs when ‘Saved-By-The-Bell’-meets-’Amadeus’ and ‘Saving Private Shmaltzy’ comes between the movie-going-public and the brilliance of ‘The Truman Show.’Frankly, I don’t know how this script got past the powers-that-be in Hollywood. It is a scathing indictment of the media. My only guess is that they saw the word ‘comedy’ and ‘Jim Carrey’ and decided not to look at it too hard. And judging from some of the comments here, it went over the heads of a pretty good slice of the viewing public as well. This story is a modern-day fable — for those with the eyes to see
If you are watching this to be entertained by Jim Carrey or to see a great sci-fi flick, you will be disappointed. If you are watching this to see the most elegant satire ever to grace the silver screen (maybe ever), then this movie is for you
I will have this one on DVD. 9/10 —

After Terminator 1 this is Arnold Schwarzeneggers best movie. I can’t understand, why this is so underrated. I love the self-ironic in this film. This movie shows that Arnie is much more intelligent and humorous than a lot of people thought before. I gave it a rate of 9.

“Pride and Glory” Plot Summary
A saga centered on a multi-generational family of New York City Police officers. The family’s moral codes are tested when Ray Tierney, investigates a case that reveals an incendiary police corruption scandal involving his own brother-in-law. For Ray, the truth is revelatory, a Pandora’s Box that threatens to upend not only the Tierney legacy but the entire NYPD.
Acting movie
This movie lives of it’s actors. The Casting is fabulous and everyone is playing as good as they can. Some might feel that the story is too weak and let’s the performances down. I’ll admit that the story isn’t the strongest and gets even confusing/convoluted at one point or another! I like crime movies and the title stands for things I do believe many people can connect with. As humans (be it cops, teachers, advisers or anything else) we do have to make choices, that affect not only us, but many other people too. Doing things, because everyone else does them too, isn’t really an excuse, but unfortunately a behavior like that, is more common and therefor close to reality and depicted pretty good in this movie. I liked the movie, despite a few flaws, story bumps and it’s predictability.
