“Mr. Brooks” Plot Summary
A psychological thriller about a man who is sometimes controlled by his murder-and-mayhem-loving alter ego.
Pleasantly Surprised
I didn’t expect much considering all the bad reviews (not that those matter) but actually found this to be quite entertaining for the most part. It really plays with your mind, an original psychological thriller compared to most others out there today. Kevin Costner, in an interesting new turn for him, plays Mr. Brooks, a self-made multi-millionaire with a beautiful house and a loving wife and daughter. His business colleagues have nothing but respect for him. But he has a dark secret… he’s addicted to killing people and has been for years. He fights his addiction by attending AA meetings at church and just calling himself ‘an addict.’ William Hurt plays ‘Marshall,’ his twisted inner-voice who eggs him on. I found Costner and especially Hurt to be quite a hoot in a very darkly comic sort of way, they actually make quite a duo. The ending could have been worked with better, but overall this was well-done and a must-see for any fans of Costner or Hurt, or any fans of thrillers that actually show a good sense of humor.

Freaky Fun-day!
It was a remake and it delivered big time! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are an unstoppably funny team of mother and daughter that have just the right chemistry, the right dose of sarcasm and the right dose of whatever it takes to make you laugh and enjoy this film. No film this cheery and delightful would be complete with the dish! And the dish here is Chad Michael Murray with awesome hair, playing the love interest of Lohan’s character
The story is about this mother and daughter who don’t seem to appreciate each other’s lives, so one Freaky Friday, while having dinner at a Chinese restaurant, they both receive fortune cookies with a weird message in them. The next morning, they wake up to find out that they have switched bodies, whereby the mum’s character now has the daughter’s thinking and reasoning, while the daughter now had the mother’s thoughts and reasoning
The result is a pure riot! A must see for everyone who enjoys watching films that warm the heart and make you laugh.

One of the best Zombie movies I’ve seen…
…and I’ve seen quite a few. This movie is a must for all those enjoy seeing horror-zombie movies with a twist, but not containing excessive amounts of blood and gore, like BrainDead had. Unlike others, I don’t think this movie should compare to Resident Evil because zombies here don’t act like those ones, oh no, not at all. You surely will need to see the movie to understand, but I was simply delighted. Most important, this movie contains no pseudo-scientific bullsh!t regarding how do the zombies appear, skips through unnecessary preparation, the soundtrack is absolutely beautiful and the end, oh, the end is… what can I say? Great-great-great! Overall, I very much enjoyed seeing this and I guess it’s a movie you can see more than once. I, personally, have seen it 4 times in 2 days and I always found something new to look at.

Kubrick’s finest achievement
One of the most under-rated films of the decade, Eyes Wide Shut is a brilliant masterpiece, from the very opening of the film to its very end. Kubrick succeeds in what many good filmmakers failed before him- and conveys a beautiful imagery of our state of dreams, full of sexual symbolism and other dream-like symbols (notice the stop signs in the streets in front of Tom Cruise), and creates a feeling of total wandering; although consistent, due to the fact that every scene and dialogue is vital and neccecary for the film’s development
Moreover, Kubrick’s use of music is even more genius than always, and Ligeti’s motif from Musica Ricercarta shows us the repetitive nature of dreams, together with a feeling that we don’t know where to go next
And of course there is a note of marriage life, men’s sexuality (and the attempt to deny women’s sexuality) and the very fine acting of Cruise and Kidman, which was a postlude of there own relationship
For me, this is the finest, most perfect film of Kubrick, and therefore one of the best films of all. A must see! 10/10

Nothing about this movie stands out as either being great or terrible
In the end, that is what kills it. The blandness is just not good. I can’t say I expected better from Will Smith, but I definitely did from Kevin James of ‘The King of Queens’– but, hey, I’m getting used to saying that a lot lately. This film attempts to make its mark as a witty romantic comedy, but it never hits the bull’s-eye. In fact, it never hits *anywhere* within the target. The allergy scene is disturbing; the fact that Kevin James can’t dance is something that wouldn’t exactly catch anybody off-guard, and is therefore (in a movie like this) not funny. This movie constantly tries to win your heart, but always with the wrong ploy at the wrong time. Some parts are okay (but I’m searching my brain for examples), but I really think this movie should be avoided.

This one was way better than the first, I don’t care what all you other pladough brains say. It had better cars, women, plot, bad guys, and action. You should still watch the first one before you see this, even if it wasn’t as good, if you want to get some of the stuff they talk about in this film. As far as the plot goes, it’s a lot more interesting than a boring theft of electronic equipment. You’re much more rather to watch a movie where the good guys are up against meaner and more dangerous bad guys who really have the thrill of danger in them. Actually only Verone did a good job showing that off, but the rest didn’t do bad. Action sequences are what really smoke the original. Finally, a circuit race, and more amounts of races instead of cheesy talking for almost a whole act. I’m glad they improved on the races and action, otherwise I would have hated this movie. ‘The Haunted Mansion’ is the latest movie to be based upon an attraction at the Disney theme parks. It stars Eddie Murphy as Jim Evers, a workaholic real estate agent who finds himself and his family trapped in a mansion infested with ghosts. The movie doesn’t rank as well as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.’ The story isn’t all that it should be. But the movie does have its good points. The art direction is beautiful, and there are plenty of visual gems. The ghosts seen in the graveyard are probably the best part of the movie. Terence Stamp puts in a suitably creepy performance as Ramsley, the butler, and Jennifer Tilly is kooky as Madame Leota. ‘The Haunted Mansion’ is no ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ but it is still worth a look.

Seriously Here, Ferrell plays a good ole country boy with rocks for brains and only one worry in the world and that’s winning. Sound like a familiar past TV character of his? Ferrell is also a Writer on this film with Director Adam McKay, who together have made a solid comedy team since those SNL days, including 2004’s ‘Anchor Man.’ But standing just as tall in this picture is the surprising man-about-town, Mr. Sasha Cohen (Borat, Ali G, Bruno) as Ricky Bobby’s French nemesis, Jean Girard. Easily the best of all the aliens
When I first watched Alien i was really impressed and had to get Aliens. I wasn’t sure if this could be as good because most sequels hardly ever surpass the first. But I thought this was a lot better. Don’t get me wrong the first was brilliant but this was amazing. Everything was right. They had a brilliant cast, brilliant story, brilliant effects and brilliant acting.
The thing i was most impressed about was the design of it all. It looked amazing. They Made things look realistic and the aliens looked really good as well. The aliens home was put together brilliantly. For a 1986 film they made the effects look really good and the set. The king alien looked very good and the set of it’s home was very good as well. Yet again Sigourney Weaver puts on a brilliant performance as like she did in the first one and Jennette Goldstien as Pvt Vaquez gave a great performance and is one of the best movie heroes ever.
With the first film it had a lot of parts that made you jump and had you on the edge of your seat. It was exactly the same with this one. There were lots of parts that made you jump and nearly the whole film had you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what was going to happened next and they had a lot more gore in this than the first which was good to see because i thought in the first it would be fairly gory but it weren’t that much.
If you thought the first was good you must watch this. You will be blown away by the effects and design and the great action sequences they have with the aliens. It is one of the best films made and it will keep you entertained from start to finish.
