“Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” Movie Review

    “P.O.T.C.” Plot Summary

Blacksmith Will Turner teams up with eccentric pirate “Captain” Jack Sparrow to save his love, the governor’s daughter, from Jack’s former pirate allies, who are now undead.

A tale of love, war and power

Oh and what a movie this is. There is something for everyone in the family with this movie, romance, action, drama, horror, adventure and fantasy. A quality of acting rivaling no other movie in recent times, except for the Rings trilogy, but that’s another thing altogether. I have watched this movies so many times that I can’t even keep track. This movie never gets boring. Johnny Depp is at the top of this career with this film!! A must see, many times over. A true classic! The cursed tale of a pirate ship’s captain, marooned by his mutineering mates and left for dead on a desert isle. He returns with another ship, this time stolen from the Royal Navy, in order to reclaim his rightful command of the infamous Black Pearl, a ship so evil that hell itself spat back her dead. He is joined by the son of a murdered pirate ship’s mate, a swordsman who’s skill and craft are equal to that of Robin Hood himself. The boy is motivated by love for a woman, herself of royal blood and captured by those mutineering pirates of ill repute in order to release a curse cast upon them from the captured gold of the famous Spanish explorer and conquistador, Hernando Cortez. With the Royal Navy in hot pursuit of their stolen ship, the captain and the boy, along with another crew of pirates, make haste for the Black Pearl, execute a cunning plan, and live happily ever after. Well, not exactly like that but almost. This film is destined a classic because of the dry, witty comments, superb acting of the entire cast, outstanding writing and special effects, and it’s about time someone put this swashbuckling story to film. Rated PG-13, which is the number of times you should see this movie.

“Where the Wild Things Are” Movie Review

“Where the Wild Things Are” Plot Summary

An adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.

    Great Movie

I went to go see this movie opening night! It was a great decision. I am currently in grade 12 and even though the movie was marketed for a young age group, my friends and I decided to see it never the less

We got to the movie theatre and the first thing I noticed was how many people of my age group 17-20 were in the theatre, dominating the amount of little children by far

As the movie progressed i noticed that some parents and children left however the ones that were left over looked completely bored. This movie was not meant for children

My friends and I thought it was AMAZING, even though the plot was changed and not exact to the book I grew up with i thought it was very well done. I think that anyone who is older and more mature and remembers the book from their childhood should definitely see the movie, the graphics are amazing!!! Definitely would see it again :)

“Back to the Future” Movie Review

“Back to the Future” Plot Summary

In 1985, Doc Brown invents time travel; in 1955, Marty McFly accidentally prevents his parents from meeting, putting his own existence at stake.

    the best 80s film ever.

This film is just one of a kind. The charm and wit are so good it will have you wonder how they came up with such a concept, Michael J Fox is at his best as are the rest of the cast. Humour, comedy, science fiction, this film has it all. This film will remain timeless,I would urge anyone who loves films to add this one to their list now. The special effects are still great looking and look far better then most effects today, your heart will still be in your mouth when Marty races towards the clock tower in a bid to get struck by lightning, this is a film you will watch again and again and will always put a smile on your face.

    “Mission: Impossible III” Movie Review

    “M:i:II” Plot Summary

Ethan Hunt comes face to face with a dangerous and sadistic arms dealer while trying to keep his identity secret in order to protect his girlfriend.

    great action!!

Overall I thought this movie was great. I went to it expecting it to be a good action flick. One with good fight scenes and explosions and got just that. The story line could have used a little work, but this blew the 2nd installment out of the water. This movie was definitely needed to revamp the Mission Impossible series. I was kind of hoping for a few more lines from Phillip Seymour Hoffman, but he still played an excellent villain

As far as story line goes…I’d rate the trilogy this way. 1st movie, 3rd movie, and then dead last is the 2nd

As far as action…I’d rate this 3rd installment as the best! If you are looking for an entertaining movie this will definitely grasp it. Enjoy!
