“15 Minutes” Plot Summary
A homicide detective and a fire marshall must stop a pair of murderers who commit videotaped crimes to become media darlings. add synopsis
I LOVED IT
I haven’t read the critic’s reviews but I heard that they didn’t love it…however I did. Furthermore, I don’t like or always trust most critics. Anyway, back to the matter at heart.’15 Minutes’ is a graphic, often disturbing, roller-coaster ride of a film which basically depicts how sleazy the media can be. The acting is SUPERB and the characters are very believable. DeNiro gives an outstanding performance as a famous local cop who is obviously well respected and good at what he does. Ed Burns is the local fire marshall who also does a wonderful job of acting humble to DeNiro’s somewhat flamboyant character. The men who play the killers are INCREDIBLE actors who play sociopaths at their finest. Kelsey Grammar does a wonderful job as the sleazeball journalist who will do anything for a good story. While I didn’t like his character, I loved to hate him, which is always a good thing
There is a lot of graphic violence in this movie, which didn’t bother me but may bother some. It is definitely not a movie for kids. The only problem I had with this film was it’s cliched message. I mean, we already know that the media is sleazy, but what makes ‘15 Days’ special is the way in which Grammar gets a hold of his sleazy footage. That, to me, was unique
If you’re a DeNiro fan don’t miss this one.

Classic
First R-Rated movie that I ever saw, I still remember the night at my grandparents with their free weekend of HBO, me sitting in the dark with the volume turned so low I am not sure if I could even hear it. I was 12 at the time and I still remember changing the channel at 1 o’clock in the morning thinking I just heard my grandfather get up. A truly funny movie.

“Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country” Movie Review
“Star Trek VI” Plot Summary
The crews of the Enterprise and the Excelsior must stop a plot to prevent a peace treaty between the Klingon Empire and the Federation. add synopsis
Great finale.
Star Trek the Undiscovered Country is a great finale for the original cast of one of the greatest television shows. We actually begin with Captain Sulu and his ship, the Excelsior. An explosion rocks them and they determine that the moon of Kronos has exploded. This puts the Klingon race at great risk. Both Federation and Klingon officials talk of a peace that should happen in order to save the Klingon world. However, there are some that believe such an alliance is not a good idea. Kirk is one of them. Yet, he is chosen to command the Enterprise to meet with Councillor Gorkon of the Klingons. After a tense dinner, the Klingon ship is attacked. Unsure of what is going on, Kirk and McCoy beam over to the alien ship to discover Gorkon was assassinated. They are arrested and tried for treason. They are found guilty and sent to an asteroid prison. Meanwhile, the crew of the Enterprise works to disprove the allegations against Kirk. This is against Starfleet orders. This one has it all: comedy, story, plot, and action. Aside from the finding evidence to clear their comrades, the Enterprise crew also uncovers a conspiracy within Starfleet. One of the most entertaining scenes for humor was a dinner with the Enterprise Crew and the Klingons. I also liked the aliens created for the Klingon gulag. Another aspect I liked was Sulu having his own command and working hard to help the Enterprise. Another good scene is when the Excelsior and Enterprise must play tag-team against a cloaked Klingon Warbird. This was the final voyage of the original cast. And it was one of the best.

“Sex and the City” Movie Review
“Sex and the City” Plot Summary
A New York writer on sex and love is finally getting married to her Mr. Big. But her three best girlfriends must console her after one of them inadvertently leads Mr. Big to jilt her. add synopsis
Love and the City
Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) buy a magnificent penthouse in Manhattan and they decide to get married. Enid Frick (Candice Bergen) invites Carrie to take pictures for a special edition of Vogue about marriage of women of forty and something years. During the preparation, Carrie raises the guest list from seventy-five to two hundred guests, and a simple wedding dress to a fashionable Vivienne Westwood, intimidating Mr. Big in his third wedding. Meanwhile Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) has no sex with Steve (David Eigenberg) and he confesses that he had had one night stand with a woman. On the eve of the wedding, in the rehearsal dinner, the upset Miranda tells Mr. Big that marriage ruins everything. On the next day, the scared Mr. Big calls off the wedding leaving Carrie in the church. Carrie feels humiliated and depressed and Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Miranda and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) decide to travel to Mexico with Carrie to the hotel where she was supposed to spend her honeymoon. When Carries returns, she hires the assistant Louise (Jennifer Hudson) to help her to organize her life. When Miranda discloses what she told to Mr. Big to Carrie in the rehearsal dinner, their friendship is shaken
The disappointing ‘Sex and the City: The Movie’ is a pale shadow of the wonderful TV series. The wittiness of the shows is completely lost in a shallow and too long story full of merchandising; most of the situations are naive and silly for characters of forty and something years old; and the conclusion is corny, but I liked the celebration among friends in a simple restaurant. I found contradictory that a movie explores love while a TV show uses sex as the central theme. What Miranda could expect after six months without sex with her husband? The new color of the hair of Sarah Jessica Parker fits very well to her type and the fabulous Kim Cattrall is still a very beautiful woman in spite of crossing the age of fifty years old. Miranda and Steve together on the Brooklyn Bridge may be corny, but I found it one of the best moments of the movie. The behavior of Samantha is sexually too contained, and I indeed expected more eroticism of this character in a feature. My vote is five
