“P.O.T.C.” Plot Summary
Blacksmith Will Turner teams up with eccentric pirate “Captain” Jack Sparrow to save his love, the governor’s daughter, from Jack’s former pirate allies, who are now undead.
A tale of love, war and power
Oh and what a movie this is. There is something for everyone in the family with this movie, romance, action, drama, horror, adventure and fantasy. A quality of acting rivaling no other movie in recent times, except for the Rings trilogy, but that’s another thing altogether. I have watched this movies so many times that I can’t even keep track. This movie never gets boring. Johnny Depp is at the top of this career with this film!! A must see, many times over. A true classic! The cursed tale of a pirate ship’s captain, marooned by his mutineering mates and left for dead on a desert isle. He returns with another ship, this time stolen from the Royal Navy, in order to reclaim his rightful command of the infamous Black Pearl, a ship so evil that hell itself spat back her dead. He is joined by the son of a murdered pirate ship’s mate, a swordsman who’s skill and craft are equal to that of Robin Hood himself. The boy is motivated by love for a woman, herself of royal blood and captured by those mutineering pirates of ill repute in order to release a curse cast upon them from the captured gold of the famous Spanish explorer and conquistador, Hernando Cortez. With the Royal Navy in hot pursuit of their stolen ship, the captain and the boy, along with another crew of pirates, make haste for the Black Pearl, execute a cunning plan, and live happily ever after. Well, not exactly like that but almost. This film is destined a classic because of the dry, witty comments, superb acting of the entire cast, outstanding writing and special effects, and it’s about time someone put this swashbuckling story to film. Rated PG-13, which is the number of times you should see this movie.

“The Phantom of the Opera” Plot Summary
A disfigured musical genius, hidden away in the Paris Opera House, terrorizes the opera company for the unwitting benefit of a young protegee whom he trains and loves.
A fantastic experience!
I have seen the movie, Phantom of the Opera, five times, a phenomenon never experienced with any other movie in my life. The movie has such depth and rich details, making it is worthy of spending the time and money to see it five times. Please spare me any more negative comments about Gerard Butler’s performance! I have seen the play in New York and in a regional theater. Of all performances I have seen, Gerard Butler’s portrayal of the Phantom is the finest, most sensitive, and most provocative. His singing is full of emotion, making his character believable and powerful. I would like to see Gerard Butler get some recognition for his performance, because he lifts the character of the Phantom far beyond what it has been in the past. He was perfect for the role, and his acting and singing should be recognized as one of the best performances on the screen this year! Emmy would not have been as great as she was without the performance provided by Gerard Butler. I want to thank Gerard Butler for taking me out of the everyday details of living into a world of ‘music of the night.’ Speak out for Gerard Butler’s receiving recogniton for his truly inspiring performance as the Phantom!

“Whole 10 Yards” Plot Summary
Jimmy the Tulip’s (Willis) quiet new life is shaken up by his old pal Oz (Perry), whose wife (Henstridge) has been kidnapped by a Hungarian mob. The Tulip and his wife Jill (Peet) spring into action. add synopsis
I loved it!!
I loved this movie. I don’t care what others say, I think this is a fantastic movie. Sure, it may not be as good as the original, but tell me, how many sequels are really as good as the original?? The originals are always the best, because they set the scene for everything, they introduce everything, and in comedies, are actually normally a lot funnier than the sequels. In action movies, they normally have more action in them, take Bourne Identity for example, excellent movie, sequel was alright but not as good, there was less action and more talking! Matthew Perry did fall over a bit too much though. In one movie you can only fall over or crash into stuff so many times, but in this movie that may have been overused. But what matters is the comedy that is in this movie, even if some people don’t see it or understand it. The mere fact that Jimmy is wearing an apron and head scarf is hilarious! Just because he’s constantly pulling gun on Jill doesn’t mean the movie has no story, it just shows that Jimmy is still a tough hitter as he was when when he wasn’t ‘dead’.
The thing that I find annoying is that they make it so that Oz has no idea what’s going on- again!! It’s like he shouldn’t even be married to Cynthia ’cause he never has any idea what she’s talking about when she’s talking to Jimmy and/or Jill. Also, what’s with Yanni’s father being Jimmy’s dad as well?! What’s up with that? I mean, sure, it kinda fits, what with Jimmy’s occupation and attitude, but wasn’t it him and Yanni who were trying to kill him?! And, don’t the mafia classify their family as the most important thing to them apart from themselves and certain other members of the mafia??
The cast still work together terrifically, and together make it a great movie. The original is still way better than the sequel, but like I’ve already said, what original isn’t better than a sequel?! I don’t care what others think, I reckon that this movie is terrific and I would totally recommend it to anyone who’s not sure about whether or not to see it.

Viva Pirates!
Well, first of all, when I read the review for the movie in my hometown paper, I was a little scared that Pirates might be a let down. The trailer and the movie clips, it seemed, didn’t really let on that there was much of a story line — that it just kind of goes on and on and on, like the Matrix 2, with no storyline — just fighting. Plus, most people do agree: sequels are hardly ever as good as the originals. And in this case, it’s true… Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest isn’t the original. But, its an awesome movie in its own right! There are a few surprises in this movie. A few characters come back from the first that you wouldn’t expect to see in the second. but… um! that’s all I’m saying. This movie is definitely a lot more violent and gory than the first one. Don’t bring the little kids to it. But, trust me — this is not a Matrix-type movie… There is an actual storyline. And a good one at that. Capt. Jack Sparrow is back as well as Elizabeth and Will, who are forced to find him and obtain his compass, or else they will face the gallows. Well, actually, Will has to find him. Elizabeth escapes, and yes… as you’ve seen in the trailers, she does dress up like a man for this movie. Making it all the more comical. (you’ll see what I mean).
The comedy was superb in this movie. Of course, it wasn’t as good as the first, but you can’t expect it to be. Yes, there were a few instances were they could’ve shortened the fighting scenes, but it was very well shot and scripted
I wish they would’ve changed a few things about the movie, but you can’t have everything. And don’t expect everything to be resolved at the end. No! There’s a cliff-hanger ending that leaves you wanting the watch the next one the moment the credits start rolling
If you like the first movie, you’ll like the second… And that’s all I’m saying
Jack Sparrow: ‘Why is the rum *always* gone?’ (he stands up and staggers) ‘Oh… That’s why.’

“Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” Movie Review
“P.O.T.C. 3″ Plot Summary
Captain Barbossa, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann must sail off the edge of the map, navigate treachery and betrayal, and make their final alliances for one last decisive battle.
At World’s End
The more I think about this movie, the more I like it. This is strange, considering my low expectations. The first film was fun, and I was very happy to see swashbuckling returning to movies, but I never really bought into the script. I wasn’t convinced that pirates were some sort of blood-bound ‘race’, and I was powerfully confused by the distance between and physical relationships of various locations. But, still good fun. The second film just kind of made me mad; I loved the ending, but it was just one example of how much it was a standard sequel: every single quirk of the first film was referenced, every single character had to return, and it HAD to be structured – nay, plotted – like Empire Strikes Back. This included re-introducing the Han Solo-Leia love story where the female lead wants the anti-hero, just to appease all the screaming Johnny Depp fans. It begged to be liked, but aside from a great score, great effects, and some very funny moments, it just came off as trite
And then we get At World’s End, which has everything you could possibly want in a pirate fantasy film: Legendary ships riddling each other with cannon fire in a whirlpool, screaming buccaneers swinging from one ship to the next, sword-fights on crow’s nests, and all that in about fifteen minutes. The rest is an admittedly convoluted story that is much more clearly plotted than the second film, while still taking breaks for letting us spend time with characters we weren’t so sure about last time, but are once again fond of. Maybe it’s Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, or the overall simplicity of the plot, but it just worked, and I had a great time
I was legitimately surprised and concerned at what the plot did with our heroes and villains, and was very satisfied with everyone’s status in the end. I guess I wouldn’t mind seeing another Pirates movie now, but I kind of think everything that needs to be done is in this film
I can’t wrap up without mentioning the very nice abstract stuff Verbinksi and co. did with the journey to Davey Jones’ Locker. It takes guts to do really surreal stuff with a $300 million Happy Meal blockbuster, but they really did some new, interesting things with their bottomless bag of tricks
