    “Wild Wild West” Plot Summary

The two best hired guns in the West must save President Grant from the clutches of a 19th century inventor-villain. add synopsis

    Funny and entertaining!

I see that a lot of people just absolutely HATED this movie. I thought that this was a very funny, slick, and entertaining movie. Will Smith gave another one of his smooth performances and Kevin Kline was great as Artemus Gordon. I agree that Salma Hayek had little to do except look hot, but that was no problem with me. The best performance was by the character Arliss Loveless, I loved the evil delight that Ken Branaugh brought to this role. The special effects were top notch, and the verbal sparring that Jim West engages in with Arliss(in particular the racial and legless jokes), were very funny. So I guess that I’m in the minority when I say give this one 9 stars out of 10!

    “The Pink Panther” Movie Review

    “The Pink Panther” Plot Summary

Loosely based on the 1964 Peter Sellers original film, where the detective must solve the murder of a famous soccer coach and find out who stole the infamous Pink Panther diamond. add synopsis

    Very Funny

I found this a very funny movie. My wife and I laughed through most of it and would recommend it to anyone. Yes, I grew up watching Peter Sellers and he was a great comedian but so is Steve and while the names and characters come from the early Panther movies, this one can stand on it’s own merits. Kevin Kline and Jean Reno also play their parts well. Best of all, this is a family movie without graphic violence and sex and is great for the whole family without sacrificing some of the jokes kids might not understand. 8 out of 10 only because I thought the movie could be longer than 90 minutes and wasted some opportunities for more comedy interactions.

“The Tale of Despereaux” Movie Review

“The Tale of Despereaux” Plot Summary

The tale of three unlikely heroes – a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears – whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle’s princess.

    We loved it.

The movie was Excellent. My son who is 2 1/2 was just so into it and not scared. They are just rats. Why is everyone so sensitive?! A lot of cartoons have animals that scare people in real life like snakes. Besides, based on personal experience, there was friend who would not let her son watch Ratatouille because of the rats, but then let him watch Dark Knight, hmmm? The mouse was so cute. I really enjoyed that this cartoon finally took a turn from what is usually out there. Right now we are stationed in Germany and the Europeans have a lot more cartoons like this. The graphics are just nicer. I do not have a problem with watching cartoons as long as they are not weird like the standard ones on TV today. For example, the digital mickey mouse. They are just not natural enough. I hope that many people will cherish this cartoon and go back to what used to be traditional Disney style and cartoons.

The Best Film I’ve Ever Seen

Not too long ago, my sister watched Aladdin a lot. I thought the music was pretty good, and I wanted to check out more music by Alan Menken. I found Hunchback. I vaguely recalled scenes I had seen when I saw it at the theater (I was 5 or 6 then), so I wanted to remember what exactly happened in it. I listened to some of the music from it, and I was hooked. ‘Bells of Notre Dame’ and ‘Topsy Turvy’ continually play in my head (and I continually play them on the piano).

I honestly think this movie is the best film I have ever seen. The music is fantastic, the animation is great, and the story is touching and heartwarming. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good film.

“The Pink Panther 2″ Movie Review

“The Pink Panther 2″ Plot Summary

Insp. Jacques Clouseau teams up with a squad of International detectives who are just as bumbling as he is. Their mission: Stop a globe-trotting thief who specializes in stealing historical artifacts.

    Best Ever Steve Martin Comedy

The movie is very watchable entertaining and VERY funny. I can now officially confirm that this movie proves Dennis Pennis was completely wrong in stating that Steve Martin had lost is Mojo. From the opening scene where Inspector Clouseau is trapped in the window of the moving car to the final scene at the wedding, this movie is a riotous and funny side splitting event. The casting of John Cleese was inspired. The chemistry between Martin and Cleese is superior to that in the first film between Kevin Kline and Martin. The other actors particularly the ever excellent Alfred Molina were very good. As of course was the cameo from Lilly Tomlin. The pacing and comic timing of this movie was very crisp, which added immensely to the enjoyment of the piece. I would rate it as one of the top 10 comedy films of all time. It is easily as good as anything Blake Edwards put together, with Peter Sellers. This film finally lays to rest the silly notion that Peter Sellers was a superior Clouseau than Martin. In a final point to prove Martin’s Genius. I defy you not to fall on the floor with side splitting laughter when Inspector Clouseau is explaining the password to John Cleese’s character after the black berets have come through the windows on the ropes. This is vintage Martin not to be missed.
