“Star Trek: Nemesis” Movie Review
“Star Trek X: Nemesis” Plot Summary
After the Enterprise is diverted to the Romulan planet of Romulus, supposedly because they want to negotiate a truce, the Federation soon find out the Romulans are planning an attack on Earth.
Great movie!!
I’m going to keep this short ‘cos I think everything’s been said, but I just wanna say that, in my opinion, people are far too harsh on this movie
I’ve been a Star Trek fan since the late 80’s when I was a kid, and this movie didn’t disappoint. People need to lighten up! Also, everyone seems to blame the director, and I admit, I don’t agree with the choice of scenes that he cut from the movie – The film would’ve been better if the scenes had been left alone, but if someone doesn’t like the script or story, then shouldn’t it be the writers to blame and NOT the director (Stuart Baird)? OK, Nemesis failed at the box office, but that doesn’t make it a bad film, just nobody wanted to see it. How would they know how good or bad something really is without seeing it for themselves? I think audiences just got tired of Star trek in general, and unfortunately, this meant that Nemesis (and Star Trek: Enterprise)had to suffer. Not to mention that it opened at the same time as some SERIOUS competition at the time. Lord of the rings – Harry Potter
The only thing that I do agree with is that this wasn’t the best film to end ‘The Next Gen’ series of films. I think they deserved two or at least one more to wrap things up properly. But I guess that’ll never happen! On a whole, I loved Nemesis (better than Insurrection, even though I like that too) and would give it 10 out of 10 anytime!

“World Trade Center” Plot Summary
Two Port Authority police officers become trapped under the rubble of the World Trade Center. add synopsis
Very Well Done Movie!!! With No Political Agenda…
We weren’t sure whether or not we would want to see this movie. Oliver Stone is someone who’s movies we don’t usually agree with. After reading many of the reviews on this site, we decided to give this movie a chance
It is a very impressive, well executed movie… with excellent acting, directing and editing!!! It is a movie that will remind you of that day, however, it is a movie about heroes, friendships and triumphs. Yes, there are points in the movie that you will tear up and even cry, yet there is also laughter at some points and there is a lot of positive throughout the movie even though it is was a time of crisis and horror surrounding the situation. The horror of that day does exist in the movie, however it isn’t overplayed or too dramatic to watch…. Also, that is not the main part of the movie. The movie is based on the lives to two of the trapped survivors as they tell/recall what happened to them on that day
The audience sat in awe watching the movie… nobody ever got up to leave their seats… and everyone was amazed at the end of how well the story was told. I’ve never seen the Theatre so crowded on a weeknight (almost at capacity)… and it was being shown on multiple screens at a big theater
I do recommend all American’s see this movie… as it pays tribute to the heroes and shows some of the good that came from the tragedy.

“Sin City” Movie Review
“Sin City” Plot Summary
A film that explores the dark and miserable town Basin City and tells the story of three different people, all caught up in the violent corruption of the city.
Excellent movie
The movie is really great. Especially the thing about colors. The movie is black and white but somethings like the red dress, blue eyes of Alexis Bledel are colored, which i find very original. Also i realized that on the dancing scene in which Jessica Alba and Bruce Wills meet at the bar, the whole movie becomes colored. Even the least important roles are taken by very famous actors and actresses and the acting is very solid throughout the movie. When you combine all these with frank miller’s excellent scenario, one of the best movies ever is the result. I think that this movie deserves a higher rank in the top250 movies list.

“Terminal” Movie Review
“Terminal” Plot Summary
An eastern immigrant finds himself stranded in JFK airport, and must take up temporary residence there.
A charming and fun movie
The Terminal follows ‘Viktor Navorski, a man from an Eastern European country who flies to New York for a holiday. Upon his arrival, he is told that a war broke out in his country whilst he was in the air, and his government has been overthrown; because of that, Navorski is a man without a country that the U.S. can recognize, thus he is denied entrance to the United States. However, he also can’t be deported until his status can be fixed. Additionally, Navorski barely speaks a word of English, so no one can talk to him and he can’t talk to anyone else.
‘But he somehow adapts and sets up residence in the airport, which makes the man who placed him there unhappy – it seems he is line for a promotion but Navroski’s presence might complicate that. So he tries to get Navorski to leave, but instead the stranded passenger remains where he is.’ The film follows Navorski as he tries to survive in the airport and make it is home, as well as documenting all the people he meets along the way.
Steven Spielberg is doesn’t typically direct films like The Terminal, which closely resembles a romantic-comedy drama – the keyword there being ROMANTIC. Out of his vast and celebrated filmography, there are very little films that pertain to the romance genre. Hence, The Terminal was somewhat of a gamble on the director’s part, and it undoubtedly drew cynicism and scepticism from the public on whether he could pull it off.
And the result: The Terminal is a success. The film is an enjoyable blend of the three aforesaid genres, and is a delight to watch. Amidst the typical Spielberg epics that have propelled him into the English lexicon (e.g. Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, Jaws), The Terminal is a breath of fresh air. Not to say that his other films are bad, it’s just refreshing to experience something new from the experienced director.
However, I couldn’t help but notice the emptiness of the film; yes, it’s very entertaining and a treat to watch, but overall the film didn’t do much for me. In the end in fact, I found the film to be quite pointless, and not a film that was thought-provoking at all. I realised that Spielberg’s films usually have a profound effect on its viewers, even long after the movie has ended. The Terminal, in all its delight and appeal, failed to do this at all. I was rather annoyed, hence the feeling of emptiness.
Then I realised that The Terminal is not like the director’s other films, and is a venture into the unknown. Spielberg didn’t want the film to be though-provoking, and just wanted it to be movie to entertain people, and nothing more. After this epiphany, I realised that despite being annoyed by the void of emptiness, it wouldn’t be fair to give this film a negative review. After all, it achieved its goal, am I right? This is probably why the film got mixed reviews from critics and audiences; they were expecting Steven Spielberg to astound us an amazing story of bravery, courage, survival and brotherhood, or a riveting biographical film, or a dystopian, post-apocalyptic thriller to keep us on the edge of our seats. They anticipated the wrong thing, and that’s why they didn’t like it.
Being a romantic-comedy-drama, The Terminal didn’t want us to experience the brutality of war, nor did it want to educate us on 19th Century history. It simply set out to entertain us, and keep us enthralled for two hours. Did it do that? Yes, and exceptionally well if I may add. Don’t get me wrong – despite being an atypical Spielberg movie, it still shows the traits of a master sitting in the director’s chair. The Terminal is an excellently made film that is one of the smartest, and most enjoyable romantic-comedies I’ve seen, no doubt about it.

“The Shawshank Redemption” Movie Review
“The Shawshank Redemption” Plot Summary
Two imprisoned men bond over a number of years, finding solace and eventual redemption through acts of common decency.
A movie revolution upon all others
We have all see movies, comedies, action and dramas. We all liked ones, hated others, got into some other even and felt like part of it. In Shawshank Redemption; you start slowly, after a while you get attached, by the time you reach the middle of the movie you simply totally forget about anything outside the screen and feel a mixed stream of emotions going through you head before anything else! then comes a last 20 minutes of heart storming that is surely enough to raise the adrenaline to extreme levels even in diabetics! I felt warm, strong, happy and all other emotions one can think of, I felt I was the one who won, who got out of prison, i was simply fully satisfied
This movie must be used as an Anti-depression by therapists! this movie proves that Oscars are either money bought gifts! or that who ever in charge of them are so smart that they couldn’t give any Oscar to The Shawshank Redemption knowing that the movie is on different – much higher- rating scale than the Oscars.. it’s simply over qualified!
