    “Scream 2″ Movie Review

    “Scream 2″ Plot Summary

It has been two years since the tragic events at Woodsboro. Sidney Prescott and Randy Meeks are trying to get on with their lives… add synopsis

My favorite of the three films.

Two years has passed… the infamous murders at Woodsboro has turned into a movie. Since the novel is written by reporter Gale Wheaters (Courtney Cox). Two college students (Jada Pinkett Smith and Omar Epps) were killed in a sneak peak of a horror movie called ‘Stab’, which is based on Wheaters’ book. Now Sidney (Neve Campbell), Randy (Jamie Kennedy), Dewey (David Arquette), Gale and Cotton Weary (Liev Schreiber) find themselves in danger. This killer certainly wants something from Sidney, so she’s also putting her boyfriend (Jerry O’Connell) and her two friends (Timothy Olyphant & Elise Neal) in deep trouble as well

Directed by Wes Craven (The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left, Shocker) made an truly enjoyable sequel to ‘Scream’ that is even more entertaining and funnier than the original. The script by Kevin Williamson (Cursed, Teaching Miss Tingle) certainly made some truly fun writing about the rules of a sequel. This was just as a blockbusters as the original was. Some film critics (For example the late Gene Siskel) felt the sequel was much better. There’s an amusing film within the film, which those scenes are directed (uncredited) by Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids Trilogy, Grindhouse, The Faculty).

The Original DVD has an sharp non-anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer and an strong Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. DVD includes Cast & Crew information and the original theatrical trailer. The only flaw in the sequel is the conclusion, which is a bit too much. ‘Scream 2′ has many funny moments as well for suspenseful moments. A good cast certainly helps. Heather Graham, Joshua Jackson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Tori Spelling, Luke Wilson and others appears in bit parts. ‘Scream 2′ is certainly one of the better sequels has to offer these days and don’t miss it. Also available in a collector’e edition DVD with anamorphic widescreen, commentary by the filmmakers and more. Panavision. (****/*****).

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” Movie Review

    “The Grinch” Plot Summary

Big budget remake of the classic cartoon about a creature intent on stealing Christmas.

I loved this film. Carrey’s best performance.

Jim Carrey has done many great performances. From Count Olaf to The Riddler, Carrey actually gives his best performance as the Grinch. Jim Carrey is my favorite actor. I will see any film he’s in, so it’s no wonder I saw How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It tanked at with critics, but I must disagree. I couldn’t believe how much I loved this film, it’s an awesome film. Jim Carrey is fantastic as The Grinch, and I couldn’t believe how much I loved this film. Like How much I couldn’t believe I loved A series of Unfortunate events. Carrey is evil in that film but I still liked his character. Sort of like with Ralph Feinnes in Harry Potter. His character is a bastard but I think he is pretty cool. It sounds like i’m supporting evil, but trust me, i’m not supporting evil. Somehow, everybody hated The Grinch. I was one of the rare few who loved this film. Directed by Ron Howard(Apollo 13, Frost/Nixon), I think The Grinch is great entertainment. It’s actually one of my favorite Christmas films. How The Grinch stole Christmas is funny, has great visuals, and a great cast. There is such a big cast I don’t know if I can name everyone. But i’ll sure as hell try. Here is the cast to How the Grinch stole Christmas:Christine Baranski(Cybil, Mamma Mia!)Jeffery Tambor(Too many things)Molly Shannon(SNL, Superstar)Even Narrated by Anthony Hopkins(The Silence of the Lambs)How the Grinch stole Christmas is a great film. You can sue me I don’t care. I know everyone hated this film, but i’m one of the rare few who loved it. Definitely Dr. Seuss’s best film adaptation and i’m proud of it. I actually prefer the film to the book, and that’s saying quite a lot. I loved How the Grinch stole Christmas, and I think you should see it

The Plot:The Grinch, who was bullied as a child, hates Christmas. He happens to live above a town that celebrates Christmas all the time. So when Cindy Lou Who decides to get The Grinch to come down, he hates Christmas even more. He decides to take all of the town’s presents for revenge.

“Born on the Fourth of July” Movie Review

“Born on the Fourth of July” Plot Summary

The biography of Ron Kovic. Paralyzed in the Vietnam war, he becomes an anti-war and pro-human rights political activist after feeling betrayed by the country he fought for.

    A forgotten masterpiece!

This has to be one of the the best war films I have ever seen. Where ‘Saving Private Ryan’ fell into a whirlpool of schmaltz or where ‘The Deer Hunter’ caught ‘bad ending’ syndrome, ‘Born’ stood out. It is also the best Oliver Stone film I have ever seen. Where ‘Platoon’ looked cheap and lacked characterisation, where ‘JFK’ felt smothered in special guest cameos, where ‘Natural Born Killers’ looked silly and cartoonish and well, where ‘Scarface’ was just plain shameful, ‘Born On the Fourth of July’ stands out above all of these titles. It confronts you with the true, unrelenting horrors of the Vietnam war with the use of disturbing flashback sequences, kinetically energetic gun battles and slow-motion violence

This film also proved that Cruise was an artistically satisfying actor as well as a commercial one (think ‘Top Gun’). I think we can all agree that this was definitely his tour de force (and, if you’re a ‘Usual Suspects’ fan, you can actually spot Stephen ‘McManus’ Baldwin in the scene where Ronnie and his friends are discussing their futures in a cafe). Sorry if I went a little off the topic at hand there, but I thought some of you might find that interesting. Anyway, if I had to summarise ‘Born On the Fourth of July’ in a few words I’d say something along the lines of really, really, really good or more poetically, moving and unforgettable.
