‘Terminator Salvation’ 2009 – Review

‘Terminator Salvation’ is the movie starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. Impressive visual effects, powerful mythology, strong script and harmonious cast – these are components of the fourth part of the saga about the deadly war between machines and humans.

Fears of fans which were waiting for the movie release with a sinking heart – if McG will ‘craft’ something similar to Mostow’s ‘chef-d’oeuvre’ – those fears appeared to be groundless. ‘Terminator: Salvation’ managed to wash off the stain which was mercilessly imposed on the Terminator franchise by mess titled ‘Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines’. Now you can easily erase Kristanna Loken’s Terminatrix and amoebous John Connor performed miserably by Nick Stahl from your memory. Feel free to consider ‘Terminator’ a trilogy with ‘terminator Salvation’ being the third part.

The opening musical score of the ‘Terminator’ – like a hammer knocking on the anvil, which promises arduous trials to the humankind – is responsible for creating a legend out of the low-budget action movie to the same extent as Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has played the ruthless machine in the preceding three Terminators.

This familiar tune is perhaps the only component maintained by the franchise up to the fourth series of the ‘human-vs-machines’ opposition story. With this mechanical heartbeat, which penetrates into every corner of the audience’s hearts, six years after the ‘Rise Of The machines’ enters the fourth installation by director McG.

McG is a cunning fellow, so he chose the right way to reanimate the movie legend – he has invited Christian Bale to star in ‘Salvation’. McG as a director has got enough competence and skills to do high-tech cinema attraction ( ‘Charlie’s Angels’), but he still lacks the charisma of James Cameron to end up with ‘ the magic’ of cinema. The legend of ‘Terminator’ requires much more than just a skilled professional, and that fact has been proven by the Jonathan Mostow’s ‘Terminator 3′.

    “The Contract” Plot Summary

Ray Keene, a father who wants to redeem himself in the eyes of his son, is trying to bring Carden, a world-class assassin to justice… add synopsis

    Entertaining

When I saw the rating of this movie of 5.6 stars I thought that this had to be a very bad and boring film to have such a rate despite having very good actors (Freeman and Cusack), but after watching it I liked this film which I found entertaining

This movie gets what it tries to achieves which is just being a 96 minutes entertaining action film nothing else. I liked the performances specially the one of Morgan Freeman who looks so cool like the killer Carden, and I liked the comments of his character too, John Cusack is very good as the nice man who cares a lot about his son

Ray and his son go camping to the forest but their plan changes when they find the injured killer Carden over there, and they will have to take him to the police despite Cardens friends are looking for him …7 stars = good

“Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” Plot Summary

High school student Nick O’Leary, member of the Queercore band The Jerk Offs, meets college-bound Norah Silverberg and she asks him to be her boyfriend for five minutes.

Nice movie, similar in premise to Dazed and Confused.

This is not an ordinary teen comedy – there’s no gross out jokes or situations here – with is refreshing considering all the typical teen comedies being rushed out of the door recently

The acting is great on all accounts, and I enjoyed seeing some of the Judd Apatow irregulars popping up in various small roles throughout the movie

The movie reminded me loosely of a modern Dazed and Confused, where we’re taken for a fun filled ride with the likable main characters during a night no one will forget

Definitely a good, sit back and relax movie. Extremely enjoyable

    “Die Hard 4.0″ Plot Summary

John McClane takes on an Internet-based terrorist organization who is systematically shutting down the United States.

    A must-see action movie.

I watched the movie at a premiere day. My girl-friend and I adore Die Hard movies and especially Bruce Willis. He is really charismatic one. The movie was filmed almost perfectly, the only thing I disliked its when that Chinese girl being hurt so much stayed on her feet nevertheless

Gush!!! It was unreal!!! But the rest: stunts, hand-made tricks, specific sense of humor – was great and amazingly impressing. I am so excited about all this stuff. I would like to wish all the crew good luck and brand new, impressing stunt-tricks, directors, screenplays ‘cos guys you’re worth of it!!! Ukraine is looking forward to meet Die Hard 5.0
