“Transformers” 2007 by Michael Bay – Movie Review

If you think that good battle-robots Autobots and bad battle-robots Decepticons have landed on our dearest planet Earth in 2007 – you’re strongly mistaken. Because they came to our world in the times of the notorious Moscow Olympiad-80, when suddenly bubble-gum and coca-cola appeared in Moscow for the first time. Although the robots landed not in Moscow but in Japan. That is where these amusing robots-transformers were invented. They were the models of different automobiles which then could be transformed into battle robots.

Autobots

Autobots

The American toy company Hasbro got interested in these toys and bought the rights to produce them in the US. Interested in the American toy company Hasbro, and then bought the rights to their production in the States. Due to the fact that they approach marketing in the USA with all the possible seriousness. That’s why these nameless by the time auto-robots received their personal names. Which is more, they received a whole history explaining which planet they came form and what they do here. Well, and thirdly, the whole comics industry started hard work on creating the epci story of the planet Cybertrone on which the good robots Autobots under the leadership of brave General Optimus Prime (originally it was Prime Time but later reduced to simply Prime) are fighting against the bad robots Decepticons headed by an treacherous Megatron.

Thus, everyone was happy: Hasbro sold megatons of transformers, the Marvel company produced mountains of comics, and Sunbow Production crafted animated cartoons about the adventures of elusive Autobots behind the Decepticons’ enemy line. In the end Sunbow even produced full-length animated film “Transformers” in which Autobots and Decepticons arrive on Earth and start all kinds of battles, while a guy named Spike is helping our folks Autobots. But the movie was a failure. Why? Either due to the fact that there were too many robots and too few people, or due to the fact that the kids already got fed up with transformers – it is hard to say. After that the Transformers have almost disappeared – people lost interested in them. The new type of heroes has settled in the kids’ hearts – Spiderman, Pokemons and the like, resulting in the transformers being forgotten in the far corners of dusty garages. Nobody was interested in the fate of the planet Cybertron anymore.

However, in the mid-nineties Hasbro managed to revive the interest in the transformers. They invented a new concept: robots can now be transformed into animals. After that when the creators imagination started to blossom with new models, the kids’ interest woke up again, resulting in creating fan-communities which could fiercely argue upon which transformer is more cool – a hamster/crocodile or eagle/ram type.

“Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen ” 2009 by Michael Bay – Movie Review

Michael Bay has created a miracle and made the second part of the movie not worse (and nobody is able to do it better) than the first.

Megan Fox Looking Hot

Megan Fox Looking Hot

To cut the long story short, let me tell you what is waiting for the audience of “Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen”: Megan Fox in sexy ultra-short shorts, robot-bikes (not as steep as in the “Terminator 4: Salvation“, but still cool), a funny robot turns into a toy RC jeep, Megan Fox in sexy leather pants, the nano-robot composed of small metal balls, a giant robot composed of 5 or 7 machines, Megan Fox in sexy white pants, large one-eyed jaguar robot, a huge robot with the giant steel balls, an awesome sexy blonde robot in panties and a metal tail at the level of the coccyx, and much much more.

Okay, in short, that’s almost all the plot of the second Transformers movie.

‘Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen” (2009) Plot Overview

While the good robots, who has signed in to protect the Earth from evil robots, are finding their way through the bureaucracy of the Ministry of Defense, and the bad robots are regrouping gloomily somewhere near Saturn, the grown-up hero of the first “Transformers” (LaBeouf) argues with clearly too cool for him car mechanic girl (Fox) about who is the first to say “I love you”, and explains why he is not taking the animate “Chevrolet” to the college with him. Higher education, however, is limited to falling into bed with a pornographic student and the demolition of the library – the trumpet calls, the giant robot says: “Sam, we need you”.

    “Secret Window” Plot Summary

A writer is accused for plagiarism by a strange man, who then starts haunting him for “justice.”

    i love this movie!

i love this movie, its great for the simple fact that Stephen king wrote the basic story line . the movie is pretty close cut from the book with a few exceptions like in the book he drinks Pepsi and in the movie he drinks mountain dew(or maby its the other way around) but other then a few things like that its pretty true to the masterpiece that is any Stephen king work, if u liked movies like psycho and identity u will love secret window because of the mind boggling psychological turn of all rational thought into a twilight zone that can only be described as the human mind when at its best and most vulnerable state.the fact that king opens eyes to the part of the brain that is only slightly touched in movies like red dragon(also awesome). definitely watch this movie if u like psychology related horror!

“O Brother, Where Art Thou?” Plot Summary

Homer’s epic poem “The Odyssey”, set in the deep south during the 1930’s. In it, three escaped convicts search for hidden treasure while a relentless lawman pursues them.

The Best Coen Brothers Film Yet

Just seen this film at an NFT preview, and I was blown away by it. It is very funny, gorgeous to look at, has a stunning soundtrack and absolutely impeccable comedy performances. Sharing a similar meandering storyline with the Big Lebowski, it succeed where that film fails by still having a coherent storyline running through and a satisfying resolution. As I’ve come to expect from the Coens, the visuals are striking but they’ve never been this beautiful before, and at no time – unlike – in previous films, do they seem merely to be there as an exercise in cleverness. But what makes this film is the excellent comic performances from even the smaller roles (several of whom are Coen regulars) – Even though the characters, as in many coen films, are (slightly irregular) stereotypes the performances give even the shallow characters a depth and makes the scenes even more funny. Oh, and the soundtrack ain’t too bad either.

    “The Big Lebowski” Plot Summary

“Dude” Lebowski, mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it.

    A True Masterpiece

This movie is sort of like a circus minus the clowns and the freak show; everything about it is attractive and entertaining. The characters are deep and interesting, and even the most minor of characters have their own unique personality. The camera work is ingenious, as are the visuals and costumes. The comedy comes in from all sides, whether subtle, witty, or straightforward. The Coen Brothers use stereotypes and wording like Van Gough used a brush. It is one of those few movies where almost every line is quotable and easily recognizable. Unlike most comedies (if you could call it such) the story is both followable and enjoyable. One of the true masterpieces of our time. If you don’t like this movie, I’m sure you hate to laugh.

    “What Just Happened” Movie Review

    “What Just Happened” Plot Summary

Two weeks in the life of a fading Hollywood producer who’s having a rough time trying to get his new picture made.

A very entertaining and ironic, expository comedy!

I just love a good comedy, especially if it’s searingly expository and has that unique ability to blow you away with one-liners and exceptionally witty dialogue. Barry Levinson’s ‘What Just Happened’ is one such comedy

Written by Art Linson (and based on his memoir), the veteran Hollywood producer of, um…I have no idea what, this film is about a Hollywood producer (duh), who’s having trouble accompanied by serious amounts of stress in his life. His latest film which hasn’t yet been released is receiving hateful reviews because of a scene where a dog is murdered in cold-blood, so it’s his job to convince the high-strung, bohemian director to cut the scene away and fix the ending. (By the way, the dog IS fine, the animal wasn’t harmed). Meanwhile, his upcoming film is about to be closed down because the $20,000,000 star they hired for the leading macho heart-breaker leading role refuses to trim a Messiah-like beard and lose some weight

This producer has to deal with finding a way to fix up those two problems, and deal with two broken marriages for which he has to pay child support and alimony. Whta we’re entreated to is a very honest memoir-to-film view of Hollywood and the, supposedly, ab-fab lifestyles producers, directors and actors are involved in

Oh, don’t get me wrong. They DO live in multi-million dollar pads with every luxuriousness available to mankind, they DO travel in class and in the latest car designed, they DO believe themselves to be Kings of the World and therefore are entitled to throw hissies and destroy entire sets in a fit of rage because, ooh, they’re being paid twenty million dollars for a movie role and they refuse to shave their beards cuz it ‘interferes with their artistic sensibilities’.I consider this film to be an entertaining backstage look at how the movie-making process begins and ends, with high-chair studio executives controlling the board game, producers trying to make some sense into it, and directors and actors trying to salvage their artistic projects before they’re turned into money-grubbing crap

Have I mentioned most of the dialogue in the film is held through phone conversations? Well, it is. It sort of reminds me of ‘Dr. Strangelove’ and how important decisions and courses of actions are decided through the phone while the speakers try to deal with their own little dramas. Only that in ‘Dr. Strangelove’ it’s nuclear war and potential human extinction; here it’s beard-shaving and scene-cutting

The movie is, also, extremely funny. You’ll be chuckling your way through it all, and there’s a scene or two (plus a collection of stupendous one-liners) that will make you explode in laughter. Which, I think, is priceless nowadays, when apart from a few choice movies, every comedy churned out is basically silly and uninteresting

There’s a great deal of irony here. I won’t go into details for fear of spoiling a surprise or two, but I must say that the pervasive use of irony in the film is to be applauded. This is one of the truly entertaining movie experiences you’ll have

Rating: 3 stars and a half out of 4!!

    “Anger Management” Plot Summary

Sandler plays a businessman who is wrongly sentenced to an anger-management program, where he meets an aggressive instructor.

    Hilarious!

This movie was one of the funniest films in the first three years of the century. Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson were excellent in this film! I can’t believe that so many people criticized this film. I got this on DVD with low expectations. This movie exceeded my expectations. The basic plot line is about a timid businessman who has to undergo anger management because he got ‘mad’ on a plane. A scene that surprised me was when Derek Jeter and Roger Clemens play a very small part at Yankee Stadium. I was surprised because I was not expecting these two players to appear in the film. The chemistry between Sandler and Nicholson was great. The storyline was believable and the script worked. I also like the music played in this film. Fans of Sandler will be laughing at this film like they never had before. I give this movie a 9/10.

One of Sandler’s best roles yet!

Adam Sandler in one of his greatest roles yet. The romantics between Deeds and ‘Pam Dawson’ were great. Keep your eyes on Emilio, he’s a very sneaky sneaky person. I don’t know how he does it. Steve Buscemi was great as Crazy Eyes. A definate must see for the whole family or as a night out with the girl/guy (gender pending).

“The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3″ Plot Summary

Armed men hijack a New York City subway train, holding the passengers hostage in return for a ransom, and turning an ordinary day’s work for dispatcher Walter Garber into a face-off with the mastermind behind the crime.

    An Awesome Film!!!

Today, I had a double feature at my theatre and saw this along with Land of the Lost! The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 is an awesome action film filled to the brim with suspense and great actors, great storyline, and a great movie altogether. A man by the name of Ryder and some armed men hijack a subway train and take hostages. Ryder communicates with an MTA dispatcher named Walter Garber who tries to reason with him. If the city does not pay Ryder 10 million dollars within the hour, he will kill a hostage. I have not yet seen the original film from the 70’s, so I can’t compare the two. I highly recommend THE TAKING OF PELHAM 1 2 3!!!

    “Collateral Damage” Movie Review

    “Collateral Damage” Plot Summary

After his family is killed by a terrorist act, a firefighter goes in search of the one responsible. add synopsis

I liked it because the terrorists were so evil…

so how can one not like seeing them get their butt kicked by a one man wrecking machine. Arnie is back, as a revenge seeking firefighter. This flick is much better than his last couple of films. His acting is OK, but some line deliveries are laughable. His face appears tighter than an army private’s bunk bed. Who says you have to age in Hollywood!(SPOILERS): My favorite scene is where the wolf forces a snake down his own man’s throat as punishment. It looked painful. Eek! I also liked the scene where Arnie sets a granade to go off but the wolf escapes because he hears Arnie yelling to the woman and child to get down. I knew the woman/wife would end up being just as evil because she wouldn’t be married to a terrorist if she didn’t support his actions and beliefs

Of course, it is unrealistic that one man could take over a guerilla camp when the whole USA operatives couldn’t do anything about it. But what I didn’t like was the scene toward the end when Arnie sets this huge fireball off in the tunnel and 2 people on a motorcycle are swallowed by the explosion and survive. That was so unbelieveable. Arnie takes care of the wife and terrorist. But, he should have killed the terrorist in a more painful way because the scum deserved that.(END OF SPOILERS)FINAL VERDICT): This is your average action flick. There was nothing spectacular that would make me want to see it again. I recommend it if you are a big action fan.
