“Saw III” Movie Review

“Saw 3″ Plot Summary

Jigsaw kidnaps a doctor to keep him alive while he watches his new apprentice put an unlucky citizen through a brutal test.

Great movie, but a little too dark

..and by dark I mean the way it was filmed not content. I give this film a 8, only because the original SAW was perfect ,thus making this one one notch lower

First of all, for all those of you who so horrible turned in disgust, This movie is not made for PANSYS like you. Go watch A comedy

Second; for all of you think the movie is not credible. So What! You go to the movies for entertainment, in other words to see things you would otherwise never get a chance to see. You want realistic? Watch a Home movie instead. This comment is especially for those who ask ‘where are the authorities’ Boo Hoo.. If you watch SAW 2 ,then you know that ‘JigSAW’ and Amanda can get to anyone at anytime. inlcluding the authorities

With that aside ,this is a great film. Gory to the max? Maybe not so much, but it does attain that effect with bone crushing and flesh tearing sound effects. A good improvement for the series

The story line is very good, because this time around the victims do not soley rely on themselves for salvation, but rather on other people’s actions: For those of you too ignorant to grasp the concept of needless killings, I’ll explain it to you. The reason most of the victims were doomed in this installment is because ‘Jigsaw’ was not fully in control, but rather passed on the torch to Amanda, who is even more twisted than ‘JIGSAW’ She somehow blames the world for her state of mind and seriously believes that no one changes after they are given that second oppotunity. She of course, bases this belief on her own life

The second plot involves a father, Jeff, who is so consumed with hatred over those responsible for his son’s death, that he would rather let them die right before his eyes. Including a witness , The man responsible and the judge in the case

This rules out senseless killing of innocent people. Finally there is Lynn, who because of her failing marriage turns to adultery to satisfy her needs. Sound familiar? Does Dr. Lawrence Gordon ring a bell

So once again ‘JigSaw’ puts this sinners through a series of tests to prove if they appreciate the life they were given. ..And for the comment about these being innocent people. NEWSFLASH, Last time I checked WRATH and LUST were 2 of the 7 deadly sins, so in no way are these people innocent

The tests this time around involve Torture devices that border medieval times, but are still fun to watch. Not at all for the squeamish

Also very important are the Flashbacks that explain missing puzzle pieces to the previous two films . All in all a very complete trilogy and a great way to end this saga. Oops too late. Part 4 is underway

My only questions about the movie are? What really happens to Det

Eric Mathews? Other than a crushed ankle we are only told that Amanda left him for dead

Will we see his actual demise in part 4? and what of the poster scene were teeth are being pulled out? Or did I miss this when I went for popcorn? Somehow It doesn’t fit into the storyline?Final words: A great addition to the Horror genre. Who ever didn’t like it or complained about gore and nudity, should really just not go see these movies. All you really do is waste time with your Pansy reviews.

“Saw II” Movie Review

“Saw 2″ Plot Summary

Jigsaw locks a few unlucky people in a booby trapped shelter and they must find a way out before they inhale too much of a lethal nerve gas and die. But they must watch out, for the traps Jigsaw has set in the shelter lead to death also.

The Best Sequel since Friday the 13th

So far this is the best sequel I’ve seen since 1981. Friday the 13th was the last time I’ve seen a sequel that in some ways was better than it is original. That’s saying something considering that Friday the 13th was a three star classic. Halloween and Scream had good sequels no mistake about that, but it doesn’t have the same impact that Saw 2 and Jason part 2 had in developing a separate identity from the first entry. Saw 2 really didn’t disappoint in finding an identity. Actually the identity was found in this version. The first Saw was sick and it’s only horror competition is the lackluster wannabe the Ring and Grudge series. I’m a horror fan and it’s been hard to find a scary movie ever since the start of the 1980s. The best films came out of the 70s and the only successful horror franchises that could actually scare somebody was Friday the 13th and Scream bar none. I like Saw because it’s a cult flick that doesn’t give a damn and it’s unique with a dark camera. Its about time we’ve had a series that separates itself from the ghost era those movies couldn’t even pay me to be scared. Saw could be the next big thing since Scream and could easily represent the 2000s as a horror heel. If you’re looking for that next big series that catches your attention and I don’t mean The Fog, which in ways was a great flick don’t look any further than Saw, which out does itself. Grade A from me most definitely.

    “Apocalypse Now” Movie Review

    “Apocalypse Now” Plot Summary

During the on-going Vietnam War, Captain Willard is sent on a dangerous mission into Cambodia to assassinate a renegade Green Beret who has set himself up as a God among a local tribe.

    Truly a Masterpiece

Somewhere on IMDb there is a discussion about the greatest director of all times (Spielberg, Copolla and others are named there). The greatest argument was around Spielberg and whether he is or isn’t a great director. The problem with Spielberg is that while he is a master technician, most of his films lack depth

Saving Ryan is really outstanding from a technical point of view, but its message is dull and while its very entertaining, it doesn’t make you think about anything. AN is the best movie I ever saw because it combines great shooting with a deep philosophical perspective on so many things, starting from war in general, the clash of civilizations, the condition of soldier in wartimes (is a soldier a hero or an assassin? Brando says he is neither, the french lady says he is both …) and many others. The problem with some people is that they try to argue about whether these points are true or false. But a great movie, and a great piece of art in general is supposed to spark arguments, not to solve them … Maybe Coppola is right, or maybe he isn’t, nobody holds the truth anyway. You can watch this movie for its outer beauty, amazing scenes, great acting and memorable quotes and you will be entirely satisfied. But what really make this movie a masterpiece is its inner quality. You can’t help but make a comparison with the recent Fahrenheit documentary

Both Copolla and Moore tackle similar issues, but while Copolla presents matters from an outside , objective point of view, Moore takes a very partisan position that really compromises the whole point of a documentary … It is really a shame that a film like Fahrenheit 9/11 won a prestigious award like Cannes. But anyway, if you want to start to understand a little of the Vietnam war, the Iraq war, the second World War and any war in general, you should definitely see this movie, and not the other one …

    “Assassins” Plot Summary

Robert Rath is a seasoned hitman who just wants out of the business with no back talk. But, as things go… add synopsis

One of my favorite scenes from a Stallone movie is…

…in this particular film. I don’t consider what I’m about to tell you a spoiler but if you’d rather know nothing about the movie before seeing it, then skip this. Banderas waits for Stallone to come out of a bank from inside an abandoned building across the street. He plans to kill him with a sniper rifle, much in the same way Stallone had killed another mark years earlier from the same spot. Stallone knows this so he takes his time, leaving Banderas to wait uncomfortably in a sweltering heatwave. Banderas can’t leave his position for fear of missing Stallone leaving the bank so we get to witness his patience wear out completely. This has to be one of the funniest scenes I’ve ever seen in a movie because Banderas looks like he actually lost it. Personally, I don’t think he was acting. Now that I mentioned that, I’ll give you my opinion on the movie itself. The rest of the movie is OK. It’s not great but it’s not horrible either. It’s a right in the middle movie. Stallone does a passable job, Banderas also. Julianne Moore doesn’t really do much but she’s okay. The action scenes are on and off, one of them taking place INSIDE a moving taxi with Banderas in the back and Stallone driving. I can’t decide if I dug it or not, but it’s pretty funny. Fans of the Matrix take note: this movie was written by the Wachowski Brothers. Rating: **1/2 out of *****.

    “Fantastic Four” Movie Review

    “Fantastic 4″ Plot Summary

A group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom add synopsis

    Amazing, funny and fantastic!

When I bought my ticket to see this movie I had no idea what to expect. I seen previews, previews that drove me to buy this ticket. My friend and I walked into the theater, took a seat and watched the red screen. After the previews had pasted the movie finally started

I have never read any of the comics on this story, so I payed close attention to the screen. We were slowly introduced to the characters. Reed Richards (Gruffund), Susan Storm (Alba), Johnny Storm (Evans), Ben Grimm (Chicklis) and Victor Von Doom (McMahon) are five scientists that go into outer-space to study DNA.After a cosmic radiation exposure hits them they wake up in Von Doom’s ‘care center’ where they are studied for injuries. Slowly they all learn their powers. Johnny being set on fire, Susan turning invisible, Reed being able to stretch his arm to an amazing length(catching a falling champagne bottle), Ben turning into a ’stone monster’ and Victor’s hand/forearm turning to metal

Reed, Susan, Johnny and Ben are forced to not go out in public after revealing their powers and being chased by screaming fans (Susan). Johnny seems to be the only one who’s happy with his powers, while the other three wish to turn themselves back

Reed swears to create a machine to turn them back, but not before testing everyone’s powers. Victor’s company quits on him and that causes him to kill a few people, well many people. Then he vows to steal everything Reed has, again. First eliminating his ‘body guard’ Ben ‘The Thing’. This breaks them up Johnny and Ben going their separate ways while Susan and Reed stayed together. Once Reed tried it on himself and it failed; Doom learns it needed more power. So Doom talked ‘The Thing’ into using the machine. Success caused Ben to turn back into himself and Doom to become more powerful than ever. Becoming all metal, except his face. This brings them back together to take him on. They finally decide to keep their powers and use their powers to take him down

Speacil effects are awesome, lines were funny, and the entire movie was fantastic! I loved it and would even go to see it again in the near future. This is definitely going to be in my DVD/VHS collection once it comes out. I give it a 10/10 and recommend it to everyone!

“There Will Be Blood” Movie Review

“There Will Be Blood” Plot Summary

A story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the business.

The best film of the year. Daniel Day-Lewis gives one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen.

There Will Be Blood is a story about greed, religion and vengeance due to the discovery of one of nature’s riches: OIL!Daniel Plainview(Daniel Day-Lewis) is a poor silver miner who is injured and taken in by a few men digging for oil. When one of them dies in a freak accident, Daniel brings up the man’s son as his own and becomes a self-made oil tycoon in the process. After receiving a tip-off that a seemingly impoverished town out west has a whole ocean of oil beneath the surface, Plainview rushes there and stops at nothing to get what he wants. Even if it means losing all the things most important to him, especially his SANITY. It was written for the screen and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, who also directed Boogie Nights and Punch-Drunk Love. This is definitely a far better than the two. He should get a Best Director Nod for his work. The music is unlike anything ever I’ve ever heard, and it completely drew me into the haunting mood of the movie. The movie will get a lot of Oscar Nominations, hopefully Best Picture but most importantly:Best Actor. Daniel Day-Lewis is arguably the most talented living actor and his performance here clinches that title in my opinion. At first, you see how Plainview goes from being an extremely charismatic individual to a dark, insane and vicious oilman. Day-Lewis perfects all of these characteristics to a T and no other performance this year is even in the same league as this one. The movie is about 2 hours and 40 minutes long but it certainly didn’t feel like it when I watched it. Actually, I would’ve been happier if the movie was 3 1/2 hours. It was that good. I was simply enthralled by this work of art. It is the best movie of the year with the best performance of the year.

    “Moulin Rouge” Movie Review

    “Moulin Rouge” Plot Summary

A poet falls for a beautiful courtesan whom a jealous duke covets in this stylish musical, with music drawn from familiar 20th century sources. add synopsis

The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to love, and to be loved in return…

And so I went, journeying into the unforgettable trip that was ‘Moulin Rouge!’ – now and forever one of my all-time favourite MOVIES (not just movie musicals) ever! I simply cannot say enough to express how very deeply this film affected me when I first viewed it…it’s impossible. From the very first jaw-dropping image of the 20th-Century Fox logo bordered by a beautiful red velvet curtain and a bouncy conductor – I knew then that I was about to experience something I had never seen before. Grand, inspiring, original, flawless…everything that so many others have said in their descriptions of ‘Moulin Rouge!’ could not be put any better. This is the reason I am now a bona-fide fan of director Baz Luhrmann. I had actually seen some of his previous work – the hyperkinetic modern version of William Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ – and from then on was absolutely hooked onto his visual flair. Likewise with ‘R+J’, ‘Moulin Rouge!’ oozes with theatrical energy, gorgeous costumes/set designs, terrific music, and of course, first-rate acting from its wonderful two leads, as well as the supporting cast

Watching the first few minutes, I could unfortunately see why this movie was ignored and laughed at by many critics, filmgoers, etc.; apparently it developed a bit of a ‘cult’ following of sorts after that. I agree that it’s not for everybody – but come on, after I finished it, I remember thinking: ‘What’s wrong with everybody? This movie is a classic! What were the haters thinking?’ Granted, if you don’t like musicals, I can understand, but for others, I guess its overwhelming originality and unconventional wisdoms were too much for some people. Oh, well…you clearly can’t please everybody

At any rate, this film deserved all the praise and award nominations it received and/or won. It’s certainly one of the more interesting and groundbreaking films released early in the new millennium, and it truly reminds some of us just why we love movies in the first place (or musicals, or MOVIE musicals, for that matter). It lifts our spirits with often-campy fun. It’s lovely, it’s larger-than-life, and it’s just plain phenomenal. A joy to watch and listen to

    I’ll stop gushing for now…I think I’ve made my point clear. Thank you.* * * TRUTH * BEAUTY * FREEDOM * LOVE * * *

Security guard Larry Daley infiltrates the Smithsonian Institute in order to rescue Jedediah and Octavius, who have been shipped to the museum by mistake.

Larger than the First! An inappropriate Plot!

The critics never enjoy the movie!I definitely enjoyed the movie, even the first. The movie was filled with action, good performance but never its story. I don’t like what they do in Washington DC. The new characters are haven’t useful they not nicely introduced. The 300 action style was a good try and the CGI effects were amazing as it is. The old characters are worthless, I thought Robbie Williams will be taking a large part but it is not. Ben Stiller is really a good actor, I like his acts just like in the Tropic Thunder. I like the museum of Smithsonian it was large, i though its just a building. The comedy was just the way it was. Overall it is definitely worth watching for me, maybe a little longer story and plot will make it a blockbuster.

    “Saw 4″ Plot Summary

Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry’s murder, two seasoned FBI profilers…

    saw 4 is great!

Saw 4 is actually amazing. I have been a huge fan of the saw series since saw came out. Saw 4, actually is just what Saw is all about. It shows you amazing traps and it also shows the true reason for jigsaw. It was a fast passed movie, but it kept you wanting more. I recommend to see saw 4 if you like the saw movies. The acting was better than in the first two and it just makes you think WTF. Also Saw 4 does not ruin the whole Saw series, it actually makes it better

SPOILERS..My favorite part was when Eric gets his head smashed by the ice cubes. And there will be a Saw 5. there has to be a saw 5. If there isn’t, It just ends really weird. Hoffman is the new Saw, you find that out at the end, it was obvious but at the same time, you are like wow thats awesome
