    “The Recruit” Movie Review

    “The Recruit” Plot Summary

A brilliant young CIA trainee is asked by his mentor to help find a mole in the Agency.

    Good film, good cast

Colin Farrell, Al Pacino and Bridget Moynihan star in ‘The Recruit,’ a 2003 film directed by Roger Donaldson. Farrell plays a young man recruited by the CIA in the person of Pacino; while training at Langley, he gets close to another trainee (Moynihan). Once out of training, he’s told she’s an infiltrate from another country assigned to following her

As is often said in the film, nothing is as it seems, and both Farrell and the audience are bamboozled more than once. The film has many twists and turns, all of which add up to a very absorbing movie. A weary-looking Pacino is excellent as always, and Farrell is effective

This one keeps the surprises coming, so pay attention.

    “Fantastic Four” Movie Review

    “Fantastic 4″ Plot Summary

A group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom add synopsis

    Amazing, funny and fantastic!

When I bought my ticket to see this movie I had no idea what to expect. I seen previews, previews that drove me to buy this ticket. My friend and I walked into the theater, took a seat and watched the red screen. After the previews had pasted the movie finally started

I have never read any of the comics on this story, so I payed close attention to the screen. We were slowly introduced to the characters. Reed Richards (Gruffund), Susan Storm (Alba), Johnny Storm (Evans), Ben Grimm (Chicklis) and Victor Von Doom (McMahon) are five scientists that go into outer-space to study DNA.After a cosmic radiation exposure hits them they wake up in Von Doom’s ‘care center’ where they are studied for injuries. Slowly they all learn their powers. Johnny being set on fire, Susan turning invisible, Reed being able to stretch his arm to an amazing length(catching a falling champagne bottle), Ben turning into a ’stone monster’ and Victor’s hand/forearm turning to metal

Reed, Susan, Johnny and Ben are forced to not go out in public after revealing their powers and being chased by screaming fans (Susan). Johnny seems to be the only one who’s happy with his powers, while the other three wish to turn themselves back

Reed swears to create a machine to turn them back, but not before testing everyone’s powers. Victor’s company quits on him and that causes him to kill a few people, well many people. Then he vows to steal everything Reed has, again. First eliminating his ‘body guard’ Ben ‘The Thing’. This breaks them up Johnny and Ben going their separate ways while Susan and Reed stayed together. Once Reed tried it on himself and it failed; Doom learns it needed more power. So Doom talked ‘The Thing’ into using the machine. Success caused Ben to turn back into himself and Doom to become more powerful than ever. Becoming all metal, except his face. This brings them back together to take him on. They finally decide to keep their powers and use their powers to take him down

Speacil effects are awesome, lines were funny, and the entire movie was fantastic! I loved it and would even go to see it again in the near future. This is definitely going to be in my DVD/VHS collection once it comes out. I give it a 10/10 and recommend it to everyone!

    “Sin City” Movie Review

    “Sin City” Plot Summary

A film that explores the dark and miserable town Basin City and tells the story of three different people, all caught up in the violent corruption of the city.

    Excellent movie

The movie is really great. Especially the thing about colors. The movie is black and white but somethings like the red dress, blue eyes of Alexis Bledel are colored, which i find very original. Also i realized that on the dancing scene in which Jessica Alba and Bruce Wills meet at the bar, the whole movie becomes colored. Even the least important roles are taken by very famous actors and actresses and the acting is very solid throughout the movie. When you combine all these with frank miller’s excellent scenario, one of the best movies ever is the result. I think that this movie deserves a higher rank in the top250 movies list.

“4: Rise of the Silver Surfer” Movie Review

“Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” Plot Summary

The Fantastic Four learn that they aren’t the only super-powered beings in the universe when they square off against the powerful Silver Surfer and the planet-eating Galactus.

The Best Movie of 2007…..So Far

I was not a great fan of the first Fantastic Four movie. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it for the pure fact that I could escape from reality for a couple of hours but it didn’t quite grab me like the first X Men or the first Spiderman movies – mainly due to too much character building. That did not put me off seeing FF2: ROTSS though as I knew that it would be SO much better than the first one – and boy was I right! Not only did this move have great special effects, some excellent humour and some real ‘WOW’ moments (all I will say is that the new spaceship is pretty awesome) but it also had one of the most curious and interesting characters in a comic book movie which came in the form of The Silver Surfer. Doug Jones did a great job and Larry Fishburne as the voice of The Silver Surfer is nowhere near as bad as some people make out. Along with The Silver Surfer came Galactus who is perhaps the most imposing and threatening bad guy ever created in a comic book movie

All in all this was an amazing movie and I could quite happily go back to the cinema and watch it all over again – 10 out of 10 – best movie of 2007…..until Transformers!
