“Home of the Brave” Plot Summary

Three soldiers struggle to readjust to life at home after returning home from a lengthy tour in Iraq. add synopsis

Great War Movie Since Saving Private Ryan!

This movie was great and recommend you to see for yourself and don’t listen to the critics that are writing bad about this movie they don’t know what they are talking about. This movie starts out excellent good have ended a bit better but it was great. This movie shows you about the war in Iraq today and is shows it as great as I expected it starts out in the war over in Iraq and moves to the people who survived that were main characters in the movie and tells you how the life is over there its hell and it lets you know as much as it can about what is happening to our soldiers there and when they come home and how you will never be the same again. It shows how it conflicts with your life and all it can show well that basically sums it up I can’t say anymore it is GREAT and RECOMMEND you watch it…

“Amadeus” Movie Review

“Amadeus” Plot Summary

The incredible story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, told in flashback mode by Antonio Salieri – now confined to an insane asylum.

An Excellent film of describing Mozart’s life from wealthy with great fame that shatters in pieces

Amadeus is one tremendous film. The acting was great. Tom Hulce did wonderful and I have only seen him once in a film and that was Animal House. The rest of the cast was great to like F. Murry Abraham did a terrific job in his performance. The music was brilliant, I have never seen a film with such great performances in their plays. I really did admire this movie, everything in it was very interesting and after I watched the film I did a little research on Mozart. The script and directing was superb and the cinematography was brilliant. I couldn’t of asked for a better film than Amadeus. I’m glad I saw this film!Hedeen’s outlook: 10/10!! **** A+

“The Frighteners” Movie Review

“The Frighteners” Plot Summary

After a car accident in which his wife, Debra, was killed and he was injured, Frank Bannister develops psychic abilities allowing him to see…

Enjoyable

I’m always up for a good ghost story, and this i found worth the time and effort of watching

Mike Fox was very good. One of his best performances, i thought. A good solid adult role playing a shuckster making not-your-normal living. The character definitely had one of the stranger ways of paying-the-bills in moviedom

And Combs was a hoot and a half. Think Dr. Herbert West if the wacky doctor had gone into law enforcement instead of reanimating bodies

Busey did a very nice job of being the homicidal maniac. He left no doubt that his character was a total nutcase

Usually i’m not so impressed by movies being shot in New Zealand as for some reason, tackiness is sometimes an unintended result. But for this movie, the New Zealand location worked very well

I liked the art design on the movie case. It fit the movie to a tee

Actually worth watching? Sure. It’s a good story told with good production values and good performances by the actors. It’s one of my favorites and i have my own personal copy which i pull out and have fun re-watching every once in a while.

    “The Devil’s Advocate” Plot Summary

A hotshot lawyer gets more than he bargained for when he learns his new boss is Lucifer himself. add synopsis

one of the greatest movies to come along in the last ten years

I can hardly find words to express how grand this film is; superb acting and story, with lot of action, drama and emotion. Director certainly mounted a gorgeous movie, displaying great talent to deal with the theme of men making a terrible deal with devil (though involuntarily)in exchange for money, success and all that stuff. Extremely realistic, never slowing down with one twist after another. Serious, scary and witty all in one, it captures the essence of degrading social values and overrated success of nowadays society. In terms of acting, Al Pacino’s rendition of Satana is simply awesome, over the top, a role played to near perfection. Charlize Theron, wonderful, does a good job in playing the forever loving wife, breaking down as soon she starts discovering the truth; the only one a bit disappointing is Keanu Reeves, not that much realistic and believable.

Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of 3 people with the culprit being the legendary apparition, the Headless Horseman.

    Best scary movie ever!

This film is excellent. it is truly awesome. It has a star studded cast including Johnny Depp!. Not for the faint hearted though as this film mixes Gothic, gory and plain heads rolling around with romance, hilarity in a way and filled with the hottest of hot Johnny Depp who plays Ichabod Crane an intelligent yet perhaps slightly wimpy detective. He faints 7 times for crap’s sake! I do feel the movie lacks faults as it is always good to laugh at stupid mistakes people make! This film is really worth seeing and will make you scared of axes forever. it send that cold yet exciting chill down your spine and will make you want to see it again and again. And even again and again.

    “The Mist” Plot Summary

A freak storm unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole-up in a supermarket and fight for their lives.

A great horror movie and a great deal more!

Most modern horror movie are simply ((insert expletive here)) these days. They either end up as a PG13 (ooh, scary!) or they end up with the hero winking into the camera and riding off into the sunset

The Mist does none of this. It is scary, violent and follows through to a logical, hardcore horror ending. The last horror film this good was 28 Days Later (kinda) or the Dawn of the Dead redo (for sure).

I don’t need spoilers to get across that if you’re a horror fan and you want to see a good kick ass R rated horror flick, you’ve come to the right place. Hell, even my wife thought it kicked ass and she’s a stickler for logic in movies

Just make sure you’re not sitting next to any plate glass windows and you’ll be fine! Oh, and if you read original novella, like I did, you’ll also be pleasantly surprised because THIS movie is true to the story it came from

Well done Frank Darabont for directing a great Stephen King adaptation … how about doing The Stand next?

The Little family adopt a charming young mouse named Stuart, but the family cat wants rid of him. add synopsis

Excellent Family Comedy with many famous talents…

Stuart Little is a comedy perfect for the entire family with may great talents

There are many familiar faces, such as Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie, known for playing Sarcastic Gregory House of House, MD., Johnathen Lipniki of The Littlest Vampire, SNL’s Julia Sweeny, and a cameo of Golden Girls’ Estelle Getty (She Played Sophia).

There are also many great voices, such as Michael J. Fox (Currently associated in a controversy of his Parkinson’s disease ad)as the ‘little’ hero, Stuart, Nathan Lane and Vincent Pastore as a particularly menacing cat named Smoky

The CGI effects are stunning. Stuart looks very life-like and so do the cats, who are pretty much the real thing

The film is based upon the book by E.B. White, best known for his book-turned-film, Charolette’s Web (Look for the Live action film in theaters December).

However, George Little is far from impressed…to have a mouse for a brother…but, whom is even more dismayed is the family cat, Snowbell, being his name would be ruined of his cat buddies were to find out about Stuart, a ‘Mouse with a Pet Cat…’ So, as Stuart spends time to his new family the leader, Smoky, plots to rid the family of Stuart once and for all…But Stuart is ready for them…This is a sparkling, charming adaption of E.B. One of My Top 3 Favorite Films

What more could you want from a movie. Tim Burton is my favorite director and Johnny Depp is my favorite actor. Martin Landau is brilliant as Bela ‘Pull the String! Pull the String!’. I watch this movie over and over finding new things each time. I can’t wait till the DVD comes to America. If you like this movie I’d recommend any of Tim Burton’s other films and the Peter Bogdonavich film ‘Paper Moon’, which is also in black and white.

    “Jaws” Movie Review

    “Jaws” Plot Summary

When a gigantic great white shark begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist and grizzled fisherman set out to stop it.

Finally, 33 years later, I’ve seen the movie that reminded us to not go in the water…

‘Jaws’ is a movie for the ages. It’s an example of what happens when the right people come together for the right reasons, for the right movie

Firstly, author Peter Benchley co-wrote the screenplay (the screenplay itself is adapted from his own novel of the same name) that became one of the new, classic scary-stories of our time: a huge great white shark is terrorizing the residents of a small New England beach community. Amity Police Chief Brody (the recently departed Roy Scheider), marine expert Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss), and grizzled shark hunter Quint (the late Robert Shaw) are the heroic three who volunteer to have a climatic showdown with this man-eating menace appropriate described as mother nature’s ultimate killing machine

I should make it clear that for years I was never one of this movie’s biggest fans. So I just kind of avoided it – the theme just didn’t appeal to me, since I’ve never been afraid to go swimming at the beach. But guess what? ‘Jaws’ is the classic adventure-horror of our times, and I am now amongst one of its many, many fans. A lot of things are classic about this movie – it’s pointless to even describe them here

Also, I’m sure there are a number of scientific inaccuracies about the true nature of sharks (the recently departed shark hunter who inspired ‘Quint’ always said he felt sorry for the shark in this movie) and whether or not they are truly something to fear – but, you know what? – it’s Hollywood, they always win. And I’m also sure that the liberties with sharks were liberties well-taken for the sake of dramatic potential: This movie did its job in scaring the living daylights out of a lot of people

Most importantly, other than serving up great scares, suspense and adventure, ‘Jaws’ is responsible for starting the career of Hollywood director Steven Spielberg. ‘Jaws’ was his claim to fame; it’s also the movie credited for starting the summer blockbuster phenomenon (this currently ranks pretty high amongst one of the highest-grossing movies of all time), and spawning three sequels and countless imitators. Spielberg would go on to do great things in his career, long after ‘Jaws,’ and he still continues to do great things to do this day because of this movie. It’s probably one of my favorite movies of his and one of my favorite movies of all time.’Jaws’ is a movie not likely to ever go away any time soon. That is part of its appeal: its ability to remain an important piece of cinema and a pop culture phenomenon that continues to genuinely frighten us even 33 years after its release. And that is also the mark of a truly great film. It’s a powerful example of what film-making can really do when the right people are involved in the right movie, for the right reasons.10/10

    “Happy Feet” Movie Review

    “Happy Feet” Plot Summary

Into the world of the Emperor Penguins, who find their soul mates through song, a penguin is born who cannot sing. But he can tap dance something fierce!

    Breathtaking and Beautiful

Happy Feet begins by introducing us to an achingly beautiful world and then takes us on an extraordinary hero’s journey filled with laughter, tears, and unconditional love. It is a rare modern epic that goes far beyond the scope of most recent movies, family or otherwise, with amazing visuals, wonderful music, and simple but meaningful themes. Be warned: you might actually find yourself responding to this film on an emotional level that could be a little embarrassing. You might leave dancing- or simply breathless

The film weaves the fantasy of a musical world inhabited by penguins, a poignant and beautiful dream in which each emperor penguin searches for love by singing a unique ‘heartsong’. Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood) is hatched into this world as one very special individual. Unlike the others of his kind, Mumble seems to be without any singing ability at all. Instead he is compelled to express what lives in his heart through an incredible gift for tap dancing (granted to the character by the great Savion Glover through motion capture). Ever positive despite rejection from his community, sweet Mumble is caught up in a remarkably deep adventure story that grapples with concepts of identity, love, and tolerance while instilling a basic sense of environmentalism

The enormity of this story is quite amazing. The brilliant George Miller (creator of diverse and artful films from Mad Max to Babe) succeeds in creating what may be one of the most lovable characters ever, and then drives him to the edge of hell and back. Drawn along in Mumble’s wake, we often laugh and sometimes cry with the character as he stumbles into a group of loyal friends (two of which are voiced fantastically by Robin Williams), showers his soul mate with unconditional love, and ultimately seeks out answers to environmental issues that are far bigger than one little penguin. Nothing, though, could be bigger than Mumble’s heart. Unless you are made of stone, you will fall in love with this character, and you’ll be cheering him along for every minute of his struggles

As you come to love Mumble, you will be exposed to elegant themes that are so universal they serve as a kind of mirror. You’ll see some of yourself or someone you love in his struggle to prove that being different can be wonderful. You’ll remember past feelings and childhood fantasies as he shows that love can be worth absolutely everything. And you’ll probably feel at least a little guilty to be a human as you remember the profound and sometimes terrible impact we can have on the many wonderful creatures that surround us. Fortunately there is a good chance that you will also come out feeling empowered to make the world a little better

All in all, the experience is breathtaking.
