“The Pursuit of Happyness” Movie Review

“The Pursuit of Happyness” Plot Summary

A struggling salesman takes custody of his son as he’s poised to begin a life-changing professional endeavor. add synopsis

I’m still wiping the tears from my eyes

I was so hesitant to see The Pursuit of Happiness for one reason, this movie looked like an incredible tear jerker, just from the trailer I was nearly crying. But my friend and I had been hearing incredible reviews about this movie, so we decided to suck it up and see the movie today and we were just blown away by how amazing Will Smith’s performance was. He and his son were just so incredibly heart warming and really reminded you of the important things in life. I was so touched by Chris’s story, he was so determined, this movie makes you wanna go out and achieve your dreams and to never let anyone tell you what is right and what is wrong, what you can and cannot do

Chris Gardner is a struggling salesmen trying just to make the rent, buy food, and take the best care of his son that he possibly can. When his wife leaves him and his son to go get a better life, Chris is left on his own, but he wins an internship at a stocks broker company that is very competitive. Against incredible odds, he just pulls through the ultimate lows of life and keeps his head up with his son by his side. They become homeless, living in hotels, homeless shelters, and even a cruddy subway bathroom! But Chris holds on to his ultimate dream of being happy and giving him and his son the life they truly deserve

This movie in every way possible is perfect, it was so brilliantly made and just so inspiring. Will Smith better be nominated for an Oscar next month! This was an incredible performance and his son was just so cute, I guess talent really does run in his family. :) I would highly recommend The Pursuit of Happiness this year! It was a beautiful film that makes you feel like you can achieve anything you truly put you heart too, I just wish I brought more tissues! 10/10

“Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me” Plot Summary

Dr. Evil is back…and has invented a new time machine that allows him to go back to the 60’s and steal Austin Powers’s mojo, inadvertently leaving him “shagless”.

    HILARIOUS!

I think Mike Meyers is hilarious in practically anything, he is just so funny. That’s all there is to it, need I say more? You just cant help but laugh at the funny antics of Mini-me and Dr. Evil. They are without a doubt the best part of this movie, you can’t not think this movie is hilarious. Funny is funny, I don’t care how stupid it is. And funny is especially funny if it is done by Mike Meyers in a ridiculous movie about a spy from the seventies stuck in the nineties, who steals his own mojo from himself, planning to destroy himself, with the help of a cute little midget 1/8 his size. ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me’ is the funniest film of the year, you shouldn’t miss it. I have one thing to say to anyone who wants to trash this movie, ‘Sht! Zipit!’.

    “Rush Hour” Plot Summary

Two cops team up to get back a kidnapped daughter.

    Worth every penny!

First, I am not a martial arts film fan. I am however someone who enjoys being entertained and this film does just that. Wrapped around a thin plot it is a buddy/buddy film that works. Just as Mel and Danny made the Lethal Weapon films work, Jackie and Chris fit together just as well. The clips they show you in the trailers are not the only good scenes in this movie, the films full of them. All in all, well worth the time and money.

“Rambo: First Blood Part II” Movie Review

    “Rambo 2″ Plot Summary

John Rambo is removed from prison by his former superior, Colonel Samuel Troutman, for a top-secret… add synopsis

A GREAT action film; Stallone IS THE PERFECT RAMBO!!

Sylvester Stallone returns to the silver screen in this second chapter of the Rambo trilogy. This time, he is released from prison under the condition that he return to the Viet Nam area to take pictures of suspected camps where American POW’s are being held. He has to deal with having orders not to use deadly force and then having to dis-obey those very same orders or be killed. He has a new antagonist in the form of a Washington Bureaucrat named Murdoch who leads this fact finding mission. He soon realizes that no one can be trusted and even his former mentor Colonel Troutman (well portrayed by Richard Crenna) is in no position to assist him. What follows is battle after battle with Asian as well as Russian troops leading to an exciting climax where he confronts the REAL enemy. Add this one to your shelf of DVD’s in the action section. This is a well directed and excellent film!

    “Starsky & Hutch” Movie Review

    “Starsky & Hutch” Plot Summary

Two streetwise cops bust criminals in their red-and-white Ford Torino with the help of police snitch called Huggy Bear.

    Fun entertaining movie.

Of all the recent buddy-cop movies, released lately this is one of the better ones

Biggest strength of this movie is in the two main characters played by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. They are such a great screen duo together and have some great team chemistry on the screen. The movie is filled with many other great comical talented actors such as; Vince Vaughn as the main villain, Snoop Dogg and Will Ferrell and some smaller roles for famous names such as; Chris Penn, Carmen Electra, Amy Smart and Juliette Lewis

But the movie is more then just an ordinary buddy-movie, it also is a priceless parody of ’70’s TV-shows in general. It uses some of the same camera-positions and style of editing at times, especially in the action sequences. But also the way of acting, dialog and costumes perfectly spoof all those silly ‘70 TV-series. I’m not sure if everybody catch or understood this but I really laughed out loud at some moments

The comedy can be put in the category silly, so this movie is clearly not suitable for everyone. The humor is really over-the-top but I for one really enjoyed that. The characters are really silly but the professional comedy actors portray them extremely well and likable

A perfectly fun comedy to kill some time with.7/10
