“Remember the Titans” Movie Review

“Remember the Titans” Plot Summary

The true story of a newly appointed African-American coach and his high school team on their first season as a racially integrated unit.

Best Movie I’ve Ever Seen !

Remember the Titans was one of the best movies I have ever seen. It really showed the passions of all of the people in the movie. It showed that a single high school football team can change the minds of a town and what they think about each other. It taught us a good lesson on racism. Most people just think of movies as entertainment but Remember the Titans was so much more than that and people could really learn a lesson by watching this movie. I suggest that every person watch this at least once in their life because it changed the way I look at everybody. Each character in the movie really had an important part and I can’t believe that this really happened in real life. It is a painful thing to think about how messed up our world is and how it is so full of hatred.

    “American History X” Movie Review

    “American History X” Plot Summary

A former neo-nazi skinhead tries to prevent his younger brother from going down the same wrong path that he did.

    A masterpiece

Consider this: an ultra-low-budget movie on the subject of racism, with no CGI and few special effects of any kind, with all of the action taking place on two or three sets, the plotline basically consisting of two or three people talking at a time punctuated by occasional outbursts of no-holds-barred violence, a massive downer of an ending, and not starring the usual assortment of Hollywood stars. Sounds like an indie for sure, right? But it’s not. It was a Hollywood film, although for the life of me I can’t imagine how any major studio got behind it. AHX is one of the best films of the decade if not of all time. Norton, who was just kicking off his career, is absolutely mesmerizing as a repentant skinhead and Furlong, known primarily for his role in T2 (and whose career has sort of sputtered out), is right up there with him as the confused younger brother. A must-see for everyone, although not the kiddies. An amazing film, right up and through the incredibly sad ending.

    “Evolution” Movie Review

    “Evolution” Plot Summary

A firefighting cadet, two college professors, and a geeky-but-sexy government scientist work against an alien organism that has been rapidly evolving ever since its arrival on Earth inside a meteor. add synopsis

    great one

Excellent movie with lots of new ideas. Such fun to watch funny creatures and all the sticky liquid coming out from the aliens. The combinations of Mr Duchovny and the other are great but some extra do not perform very well such as the scene at with the flying creatures

The last part where the movie almost end, looks so fake on the big huge aliens and that make this story weakness at that part. Other than that, all have been done very well.

    “The Road” Movie Review

    “The Road” Plot Summary

A post-apocalyptic tale of a man and his son trying to survive by any means possible.

    Very important movie …

I just got home from seeing ‘The Road’ and my stomach is still in a knot. I never read the book and therefore won’t be making any comparisons. I’ll simply comment on the film. I can’t imagine the performances being any better from any of the actors, starting at Viggo and working my way down to the smallest roles. I can’t imagine the bleak post-apocalyptic world being portrayed any more realistically. I can’t imagine the general feeling of sadness, desperation, hopelessness, terror and pain being captured more accurately. If that was the goal, the people involved in the making of this movie did their job magnificently. Having said that, it isn’t for everyone. I saw this movie alone because I had a feeling my wife wouldn’t be into it. It’s tough to watch. However, in the midst of this recession brought on by greed and materialism, I think it’s a movie that everyone of age SHOULD see in order to put things back into perspective, if only for a day. I had a lump in my throat through most of the movie and was desperate to get home and hug my two boys through most of it as well. I also felt like downsizing our entire life in terms of the unnecessary ’stuff’ we have. I imagined how many homeless people wander the streets right now with that feeling of hopelessness and desperation. What more could I ask from a Saturday afternoon at the theater? It’s this kind of movie that helps maintain a degree of integrity in the film industry among the inaneness that surrounds it.

    “Blow” Movie Review

    “Blow” Plot Summary

The story of George Jung, the man who established the American cocaine market in the 1970’s.

    Great movie!

It is great to see a movie that knows the distinction between ‘anti-drug’ versus ‘anti-drug-dealer’. This movie shows the human side of prisoners of war in the war against drug choice and drug freedom. It does not demonize George Jung nor make him out to be a perfect human being. For instance, he is not portrayed as the best father in the world. Nevertheless, this distinction and balance is desperately needed in Hollywood’s current extreme state of bias in movies against drugs

Johnny Depp and Paul Reubens and Ray Liotta play their characters with wonderful sensitivity. They create no dull moments on the screen. The movie would have benefited from seeing at least one montage of the final buyers of cocaine. I would like to see from where all those bags and bags of cash ultimately came!

    “Clerks” Movie Review

    “cLeRKs” Plot Summary

A calamity at Dante and Randall’s shops sends them looking for new horizons – but they ultimately settle at Mooby’s, a fictional Disney-McDonald’s-style fast-food empire.

    Romantic Love

In New Jersey, when Dante (Brian O’Halloran) arrives to open the convenience store ‘Quick Stop Groceries’ for another labor day, he finds the place on fire. The losers Dante and his friend Randal (Jeff Anderson) find another job position in the fast food restaurant Mooby’s, managed by Becky (Rosario Dawson), and working with the Christian employee Elias (Trevor Fehrman). The new and improved potheads and drug dealers Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) also move their traffic spot to the new location. Dante is planning a new life in Florida getting married with his fiancee Emma (Jennifer Schwalbach) while his friend Becky is a woman that does not believe in romantic love. On the eve of Dante’s departure to Florida, Randal decides to promote a farewell and bachelor party to his best friend, and he invites Kelly and the Sexy Stud (Zak Knutson) from Tijuana to heat the celebration. However, things go wrong and Dante rethinks his future.’Clerks II’ is a hilarious sequel of the cult ‘Clerks’ that was the debut of Kevin Smith. The story follows the usual politically incorrect style of this director, with racist and sexist jokes blended with drugs, gross situations and a romance. However, what else can a viewer expect from a Kevin Smith’s movie? Rosario Dawson is extremely charming in the role of Becky, and the witty lines with double sense meanings are very funny. The conventional conclusion fits well to the story. My vote is seven

    “The Fountain” Movie Review

    “The Fountain” Plot Summary

Spanning over one thousand years, and three parallel stories, The Fountain is a story of love, death, spirituality, and the fragility of our existence in this world.

    Exceptional film-making

I was fortunate to see this at the Toronto Film Festival. While I have not seen Requiem for a Dream or Pi, I was fascinated by this film after hearing about the reaction in Venice. This is one of the most thought provoking & evocative movies I have ever seen. I think it is a movie that people will either love or hate, there doesn’t appear to be a middle ground

While introducing the film, in Toronto, Rachel Weisz commented that Aronofsky asks a lot from his actors, this appears to be true and most certainly pays off. Hugh Jackman’s gut-wrenching and emotional performance is phenomenal. This is undoubtedly his best performance and, as far as I’m concerned, you can hand him the Oscar. It is superbly written, acted and directed. Mansel’s score is beautiful. Be open to this movie and receive it. There aren’t enough superlatives to do justice to this film. I can’t wait to see it again. Brilliant!
