“Aliens” Movie Review

“Aliens” Plot Summary

The planet from Alien (1979) has been colonized, but contact is lost. This time, the rescue team has impressive firepower, enough?

Easily the best of all the aliens

When I first watched Alien i was really impressed and had to get Aliens. I wasn’t sure if this could be as good because most sequels hardly ever surpass the first. But I thought this was a lot better. Don’t get me wrong the first was brilliant but this was amazing. Everything was right. They had a brilliant cast, brilliant story, brilliant effects and brilliant acting.

The thing i was most impressed about was the design of it all. It looked amazing. They Made things look realistic and the aliens looked really good as well. The aliens home was put together brilliantly. For a 1986 film they made the effects look really good and the set. The king alien looked very good and the set of it’s home was very good as well. Yet again Sigourney Weaver puts on a brilliant performance as like she did in the first one and Jennette Goldstien as Pvt Vaquez gave a great performance and is one of the best movie heroes ever.

With the first film it had a lot of parts that made you jump and had you on the edge of your seat. It was exactly the same with this one. There were lots of parts that made you jump and nearly the whole film had you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what was going to happened next and they had a lot more gore in this than the first which was good to see because i thought in the first it would be fairly gory but it weren’t that much.

If you thought the first was good you must watch this. You will be blown away by the effects and design and the great action sequences they have with the aliens. It is one of the best films made and it will keep you entertained from start to finish.

    “The Good Shepherd” Movie Review

    “The Good Shepherd” Plot Summary

The tumultuous early history of the Central Intelligence Agency is viewed through the prism of one man’s life.

An intelligent tale of duty and loyalty

I went into the theatre with little knowledge but that I was going to be watching a film about a man who was one of the founders of the CIA. Expecting this, I thought this movie was outstanding and a mind game from start to finish

What one has to understand about the movie itself is that it is as complicated as the storyline. It starts out with two different time lines, decades apart and slowly one reaches the other. That in itself can be difficult to follow, but it is well worth the effort to pay attention because if you can leave the theatre understanding what took place, you walk away with a little more knowledge about the human complex

Because this is a story more about the soul and our humanity than it is about spies and country. Those are just the means by which De Niro uses

Every actor is placed remarkably well and no more so than Matt Damon himself. It is his acting that gives us Edward Wilson; a man without airs who doesn’t compromise. The movie spans over twenty years and fortunately we see those years reflected in most of the characters. Angelina Jolie does the neglected, alcoholic wife superbly. William Hurt and Lee Pace as Richard Hayes both give a wonderful performance taking their character’s flaws from subtle to substantial by the end

Some might wonder how so many actors could be recruited for such small roles, like Alec Baldwin, Michael Gambon, and Joe Pesci, but one only has to see as far as the director to get their answer. Don’t let the big names and the anagram CIA get you. This movie is as edgy as it is intricate with twists and turns that take the viewer through the world of trust and the human element. A man like Edward Wilson is just the perfect vessel for the journey.

    “The Tuxedo” Movie Review

    “The Tuxedo” Plot Summary

A hapless chauffer must take a comatosed secret agent’s place using his special gadget-laden tuxedo. add synopsis

    Brilliant Comedy!

I was fortunate enough to see a restricted advanced screening of this film, and while occasionally I’m disappointed by these advanced screenings, The Tuxedo really delivered

Jackie Chan, while always visually stunning and frequently extremely funny, has lived to his fullest potential in this movie. If his career were to be over now, I sincerely believe that this movie would be the one he was remembered for

From the opening scene to the closing credits, this film keeps your adrenaline pumping and your laughter rolling. The chemistry is definitely there between Jackie Chan and the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt, and the pair of them is funnier than either of them independently

Of course, the actors get a great deal of help from a brilliant script. The dialogue in this movie is fast and smart, and an executive of any production company, from the smallest Acme or DCJ Production company right up to MGM or Miramax, would be absolutely thrilled to see it land on his desk

All these elements together form a film which is strong enough, funny enough, and smart enough to be the end-of-summer blockbuster we’ve been waiting for. See The Tuxedo – you’ll be glad you did!
