” Alien Resurrection” 1997 by Jean-Pierre Jeunet – Movie Review
Sci-Fi thriller “Alien: Resurrection” finalizes the quadrilogy of cult series about Aliens. In “Alien 4″ we bid farewell to Ripley so wonderfully impersonated by Sigourney Weaver. The final victory is won and the aliens will never be able to cause irreparable damage to the Earth and endanger the existence of humankind.
“Alien: Resurrection” Plot Summary
Ripley is successfully cloned from the eighth attempt, and the alien embryo is given new life with her. The military seem to be not able to abandon the crazy unrealizable idea of taming the aliens, turning them into creatures under human control. They do not want to recognize that this lethal weapon could destroy human civilization forever. Nobody can manage to breed the aliens in captivity, neither did anybody manage to train them. In “Alien 4″ Ripley gets a second life, but cloning has caused an unexpected effect of hybridization. She is extremely strong, has a highly developed instincts. Her blood like the blood of Aliens is capable to burn through metal. She calls herself ‘mother of the monster” and has the ability to feel the presence of monsters. She became much colder and sober-minded than she was in her real life.
The criminal military officials’ plans extend so far that they are willing to pay the pirates for kidnapping. The live cargo is going to be a ‘farm’ for breeding these extremely ‘attractive’ creatures. But Aliens do not doze for an extra minute, they spend great time spreading inside the research center. Although Ripley is perceived by the scientists as the production waste, she and the female android Annalee Call (Winona Rider) are to save the humankind from the invasion of the terrible Aliens.

“Commando” Plot Summary
A retired elite commando has only a few hours to find and rescue his daughter from an exiled dictator.
Probably the best action film.
Commando is in my mind the best action film out there to date, this movie was made 14 years ago and no other film can push it out of first position
The film got everything: a great looking Arnold, extremely fine music by James Horner and great settings for the action scenes. It`s a great ride of perfection when it comes to entertaining action fans. Rae Dawn Chong and Alyssa Milano gives fine performances as well.

I loved it
Shaft was a great movie. The acting was great and everything in this movie was done very well. The story was also very interesting. I think that Christian Bale played an okay villain. If he was more scary and more evil, it would be even better. I am not saying that he did not do a good job as a villain, but he could have been scarier. But it was still a good movie. I also think that Peoples should have been more evil. Other than that it was a great movie. I really liked the car chase in the end. Another thing that I really liked about this movie is that John Shaft was driving one of my favorite cars which is a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. If you like police movies than you will really like Shaft.

Bret Maverick, needing money for a poker tournament, faces various comic mishaps and challenges, including a charming woman thief.
Good cinematography & Very friendly movie set
I had the privilege of being both an extra and a stand in. Which of course let me see and add to the inside goings on of this movie. I found in particular James garner was very congenial and friendly to the extras. Richard Donner was very purposeful and dedicated putting in overtime each day that i observed him. Along with James garner i found denver pyle and James coburn very friendly to me as i had pictures of me taken with all 3 individually. The photography is great due to the fact that we were on a real riverboat the stern wheeler ‘Lauren belle’ we were returned twice a day to the locks by tugboats and floated back to the fishery. This was all during the 2nd week of sept 1993 30 miles east of Portland,Oregon
My thanks to the other cast members and Extras.

Great fun from the Addams Family!
Well, I finally managed to write a review on this, and I have to say, I like this a lot. I do think Values is marginally better, but both are solid entertainment, two good examples of films, driven by character not plot(though there was a very good one in both films). Like Values, the rating is too low, why? My only criticism, is that I don’t like the rap song over the end credits at all. Apart from that, it had spirited direction, great incidental music, great performances, and a gem of a black humour filled script
The plot is simple but grabs the attention of adults, as young children might not understand it. The script is witty, dark and very funny, something that Reunion forgot to add to the proceedings. Barry Sonnenfield directs with spirit and enthusiasm, but it’s the performances that I was most impressed with
Raul Julia and Angelica Huston were perfect as Gomez and Morticia, and I was sure that Tim Curry and Daryl Hannah would have been, had they a half-decent script and director to work with.(alas!) Christopher Lloyd was great fun as Fester, but the performance of Christina Ricci steals the film. Everyone else deserves a mention
In conclusion, a well-done and inventive film, with a 9/10 from me! Bethany Cox
