“A Mighty Heart” Movie Review

“A Mighty Heart” Plot Summary

Mariane Pearl embarks on a frantic search to locate her journalist husband, Daniel, when he goes missing in Pakistan.

A Very Mighty Heart

I don’t usually type summaries, and this in reality will not be a summary. I am putting in my two cents in defense of a VERY moving VERY soul touching movie

I have read a lot of people downing Jolie’s performance, saying things such as ‘a white woman playing a woman of color is wrong’. In my opinion in this day and age if that alone is something that will keep you from viewing this movie, then you may need to recheck your mindset. Not only was Jolie handpicked by the character she portrays, but she obviously put her whole heart and soul into this performance. 30 minutes into the movie you forget you are watching Angelina Jolie, and begin to feel nothing but hurt and worry for Daniel and Mariane Pearl

When I watch a movie I try to put myself in the characters shoes. I viewed this movie imagining myself in Mrs. Pearls situation. If it was MY HUSBAND. I found myself pausing parts and rewinding only to make sure I caught a point just made. I found myself actually hoping that Daniel would come home when I knew good and well he wouldn’t! I had to pause it at one point and take a break, my heart was racing, I was crying, I WAS IN PAIN just watching this movie. To watch it and also KNOW that this DID happen, it isn’t just a story wrote for entertainment moved me in ways I can’t put onto paper

Don’t watch this movie for entertainment. Watch this movie to see a different view of what is going on in our world today. Watch this movie to feel the pain of a fellow human being going through a horrific experience. Watch this movie to see the best performance this year!!

“Righteous Kill” Movie Review

“Righteous Kill” Plot Summary

Two veteran New York City detectives work on a case of serial executions of criminals who escaped justice.

Great work by Al and Bobby!!!

I had really low expectations when I went to watch the movie

All the reviews I read were negative,I wanted to see this mainly because I am a big fan of both Al and Bobby

The movie was enjoyable and it is nothing like what other viewers/critics have said

Some have said that this is disgusting and predictable…awww gimme a break! this is not disgusting! This has got two of the greatest actors of all time and they still seem to have a lot left in them (They have a lot to offer in the future and I am sure they will not disappoint).

I felt both Al and Bobby did a great job in this movie

They seemed to have great chemistry between them and I would like to praise the rest of the cast as well especially Carla Gugino,John Leguizamo,Brian Dennehy and Donnie Wahlberg

Curtis Jackson should not have been in this movie but he does a reasonable job

I feel Jon Avnet does not deserve to direct a movie with stars like these

I just hope that Al does not work with him in the future

This movie is not in the league of Godfather 2 and Heat but it is definitely worth watching

DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE CRITICS SAY(THOSE GUYS ARE ALL SCUMBAGS).THE ACTING IS GREAT IN THIS ONE AND IT IS A MUST SEE FOR ALL FANS OF DE NIRO AND PACINO!!!

“Gremlins 2: The New Batch” Movie Review

    “Gremlins 2″ Plot Summary

The Gremlins are back, and this time, they’ve taken total control over the building of a media mogul. add synopsis

One of my favorite films. ***** out of 5

This here is Joe Dante’s best film. It’s a delightful and absolutely charming dark comedy. I begged my mom to take me to see this back in 1990 and thankfully I can say I saw this on the big screen

Years later when I watch it, I can catch all of the little references and nods to other great films of the past. The Warner Brothers Looney Tune cartoons have obviously made an impact on the directorial style of Joe Dante. What’s great is the combination of this type of humor blended with these devious little monsters wrecking havoc in the Clamp Building. Speaking of Clamp, John Glover was excellent as Daniel Clamp (a parody of Donald Trump). He’s absolutely hilarious! There are many terrific special effects and sequences in the film. It’s hard to tell you which scene is my favorite because I adore every moment of the film. I will say one of the scenes that sticks out for me is when the Bat Gremlin flies out into New York City by day. I just love those excellent shots of him flying through the sky. Of course, the Brain Gremlin and the ‘New York, New York’ number is fantastic as well. ‘Is eeeverybody heere?’ And who could forget when the Gremlins got their revenge for Leonard Maltin’s lambasting of the first Gremlins movie? All this is accompanied by a fantastic Jerry Goldsmith score (which happens to be one of my favorites of his as well). The collaboration between Goldsmith and Dante isn’t unlike that of Hitchcock and Herrmann or Spielberg and Williams

The film abounds with dark jollity and watching it you can tell that the filmmakers had a fun time making the picture. To include the audience as part of the goings on, is a real treat

Out of all the thousands of films I have seen, none have been or ever will be more entertaining than Gremlins 2.

    I LOVE it.

    “Gremlins” Movie Review

    “Gremlins” Plot Summary

A boy inadvertantly breaks 3 important rules concerning his new pet and unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous monsters on a small town. add synopsis

    I Blame My Youth

I grew up in the 80’s. I look back at that time with great memories. From the clothes to the cars to the music and movies, my life was pretty decent back then

I sometimes like to ‘relive’ my youth and watch some movies that I remember liking as a youngster. Some of the movies still hold up as being great movies…Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Die Hard to name a few. Others are not so great…Crocodile Dundee, Mannequin and Gremlins fit into this category. The concept of this film is fairly great, and I give thumbs up to Chris Columbus for writing a decent script…well, half a script

The first half of this movie isn’t too annoying, but when the Gremlins start their wicked ways, I feel like I’m watching an overblown SNL skit. The amount of juvenile humor is just plain annoying. This is one of those movies that was well talked about back in 1984, but cannot stand the test of time

The highlight of this movie for me this time around was seeing the Back to the Future set being used. Granted, Gremlins came out first, but the clock tower will forever be known for Back to the Future.
