    “The Matrix Reloaded” Movie Review

    “The Matrix 2″ Plot Summary

Neo and the rebel leaders estimate that they have 72 hours until 250,000 probes discover Zion and destroy it and its inhabitants. During this, Neo must decide how he can save Trinity from a dark fate in his dreams.

The best film of the season!

Almost all of my friends and other people claimed that this film isn’t worth to see and it’s very, very bad movie. But I think ‘Matrix. Reloaded’ is excellent and I like it more than 1st part. Great music, great philosophy, great special effects! After watching I felt that the world had changed around me and I could never be the same. I’m waiting for next part with impatience

The only I don’t like in this film – when Zion’s people are dancing into their temple. This is very ugly and disgustful. And I can’t understand why the creators of 2nd part put this scene into the movie.

    “Amadeus” Movie Review

    “Amadeus” Plot Summary

The incredible story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, told in flashback mode by Antonio Salieri – now confined to an insane asylum.

An Excellent film of describing Mozart’s life from wealthy with great fame that shatters in pieces

Amadeus is one tremendous film. The acting was great. Tom Hulce did wonderful and I have only seen him once in a film and that was Animal House. The rest of the cast was great to like F. Murry Abraham did a terrific job in his performance. The music was brilliant, I have never seen a film with such great performances in their plays. I really did admire this movie, everything in it was very interesting and after I watched the film I did a little research on Mozart. The script and directing was superb and the cinematography was brilliant. I couldn’t of asked for a better film than Amadeus. I’m glad I saw this film!Hedeen’s outlook: 10/10!! **** A+

    “Moulin Rouge” Movie Review

    “Moulin Rouge” Plot Summary

A poet falls for a beautiful courtesan whom a jealous duke covets in this stylish musical, with music drawn from familiar 20th century sources. add synopsis

The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to love, and to be loved in return…

And so I went, journeying into the unforgettable trip that was ‘Moulin Rouge!’ – now and forever one of my all-time favourite MOVIES (not just movie musicals) ever! I simply cannot say enough to express how very deeply this film affected me when I first viewed it…it’s impossible. From the very first jaw-dropping image of the 20th-Century Fox logo bordered by a beautiful red velvet curtain and a bouncy conductor – I knew then that I was about to experience something I had never seen before. Grand, inspiring, original, flawless…everything that so many others have said in their descriptions of ‘Moulin Rouge!’ could not be put any better. This is the reason I am now a bona-fide fan of director Baz Luhrmann. I had actually seen some of his previous work – the hyperkinetic modern version of William Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ – and from then on was absolutely hooked onto his visual flair. Likewise with ‘R+J’, ‘Moulin Rouge!’ oozes with theatrical energy, gorgeous costumes/set designs, terrific music, and of course, first-rate acting from its wonderful two leads, as well as the supporting cast

Watching the first few minutes, I could unfortunately see why this movie was ignored and laughed at by many critics, filmgoers, etc.; apparently it developed a bit of a ‘cult’ following of sorts after that. I agree that it’s not for everybody – but come on, after I finished it, I remember thinking: ‘What’s wrong with everybody? This movie is a classic! What were the haters thinking?’ Granted, if you don’t like musicals, I can understand, but for others, I guess its overwhelming originality and unconventional wisdoms were too much for some people. Oh, well…you clearly can’t please everybody

At any rate, this film deserved all the praise and award nominations it received and/or won. It’s certainly one of the more interesting and groundbreaking films released early in the new millennium, and it truly reminds some of us just why we love movies in the first place (or musicals, or MOVIE musicals, for that matter). It lifts our spirits with often-campy fun. It’s lovely, it’s larger-than-life, and it’s just plain phenomenal. A joy to watch and listen to

    I’ll stop gushing for now…I think I’ve made my point clear. Thank you.* * * TRUTH * BEAUTY * FREEDOM * LOVE * * *

“Drag Me to Hell” Movie Review

“Drag Me to Hell” Plot Summary

A loan officer ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, which turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point.

    Good? Yes. Epic? No.

A bank employee is forced to make a tough decision — denying an old woman an extension on her home loan. While this may have helped her career, it jeopardized her life. The old woman, a gypsy, puts a horrible curse on the woman, where an evil spirit (a lamia) will drag her soul to hell in four days

Many of us were waiting for Sam Raimi’s return to horror (aside from his production work for Ghost House), and here it is. For me, personally, it was an experience that was both welcoming and disheartening. any of Raimi’s old tricks are back, but some of his new tricks are present too, much to my chagrin

A good friend informed me that the first fifteen minutes of the film are ‘epic’, a word that is not to be used lightly. In this, I strongly disagree. While some of the later scenes were very intense and quite fun (the parking lot scene, for example), the first fifteen minutes were largely a waste of film. The introduction with the Mexican family serves only a minimal plot purpose, and we are treated to a bit too much bank employee exposition

What are the old tricks and new tricks I refer to? Let me lay it out for you. The old tricks include: the return of the Delta 88, some great camera shots (again in the parking lot scene), a demonic dance, a possessed goat, and a very subtle cameo by Ted Raimi that you’ll miss if you don’t recognize Ted’s voice. Sadly, Bruce Campbell was not available for the film to make a cameo. The new tricks? Computer generated animation. I have expressed my disapproval of CG in countless reviews, but it’s even more sad from Raimi, who is known for his camera techniques and stop-motion work. Sure, this isn’t low budget, but animated fire doesn’t scare me

Overall, while I didn’t find the film to be groundbreaking, it is well worth a view. Raimi includes plenty of his splatter effects (blood, drool, and other bodily fluids) and generally gives us a good ghost story, particularly for working in the PG-13 framework (which is a mistake). The end is also satisfying. Compare this to Stuart Gordon’s ‘Stuck’ and it seems that Raimi has the more lasting impact on horror

As of this writing, the film is in the cheap seats, so by the time you read this, it will likely be out on video. Be sure to rent this. The film likely didn’t make as much in theaters as expected, especially with the overbearing media campaign (which was enough to turn me — a Raimi fan — off). Let’s help them recoup their losses on the video sales. No doubt the special features will make this well worth it.
