    “Freaky Friday” Plot Summary

An overworked mother and her daughter do not get along. When they switch bodies, each is forced to adapt to the others life for one freaky Friday. add synopsis

    Freaky Fun-day!

It was a remake and it delivered big time! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are an unstoppably funny team of mother and daughter that have just the right chemistry, the right dose of sarcasm and the right dose of whatever it takes to make you laugh and enjoy this film. No film this cheery and delightful would be complete with the dish! And the dish here is Chad Michael Murray with awesome hair, playing the love interest of Lohan’s character

The story is about this mother and daughter who don’t seem to appreciate each other’s lives, so one Freaky Friday, while having dinner at a Chinese restaurant, they both receive fortune cookies with a weird message in them. The next morning, they wake up to find out that they have switched bodies, whereby the mum’s character now has the daughter’s thinking and reasoning, while the daughter now had the mother’s thoughts and reasoning

The result is a pure riot! A must see for everyone who enjoys watching films that warm the heart and make you laugh.

    “Gattaca” Movie Review

    “Gattaca” Plot Summary

A genetically inferior man assumes the identity of a superior one in order to pursue his lifelong dream of space travel.

It’s the little things that tell you you’ve found quality!

I rented this film cold at the video store — and was very pleasantly surprised with a very well done movie. If you don’t know anything else about Gattaca, the less you know, the better. Stop reading this review right now, go watch it, and come back when you’re done!It was after my first viewing of the film that several little details dawned on me:1) The term ‘borrowed ladder’ is a utterly-brilliantly-conceived bit of future slang that carries a *double meaning*. I’m still amazed that the producers didn’t make more of this. Instead, they were content to leave this gem to be discovered by the thinking and missed by the vast masses. I was very definitely impressed. 2) As I was explaining the film to my wife, it occurred to me in mid-explanation that this is really a film that has to do with what is properly called =eugenics=; one of the things the Nazis were about. Then my mind wandered to word etymologies: I recalled that the name ‘Eugene’ = ‘well born.’ And then I realized…!!!3) It’s interesting the extent to which so many of the characters in the film *didn’t* live up to their genetic destiny, one way or another.4) Because I hadn’t seen any previews, I had no immediate reference for where the name ‘Gattaca’ had come from. And then I suddenly realized…!!!5) It wasn’t until I watched the movie the second time that I caught the effects with the title sequence letters…Now I had figured out by this time that there were likely to be other intriguing little details I’ve missed, so I was fascinated to read from another reviewer here about the boy Vincent falling with a toy rocket in his hand. I wonder what else is in there? All in all, this is a very well written, tightly woven movie. Seen cold, with no real prior knowledge of the film, it came off as a tremendous science-fiction SUSPENSE THRILLER. There were several scenes that just had me climbing the walls with tension. Fabulous job!And I’m not the only one who thinks so. When my WIFE says she wants to see a SCIENCE FICTION movie for the SECOND TIME… well, I don’t think THAT has EVER happened before!

Three soldiers struggle to readjust to life at home after returning home from a lengthy tour in Iraq. add synopsis

Great War Movie Since Saving Private Ryan!

This movie was great and recommend you to see for yourself and don’t listen to the critics that are writing bad about this movie they don’t know what they are talking about. This movie starts out excellent good have ended a bit better but it was great. This movie shows you about the war in Iraq today and is shows it as great as I expected it starts out in the war over in Iraq and moves to the people who survived that were main characters in the movie and tells you how the life is over there its hell and it lets you know as much as it can about what is happening to our soldiers there and when they come home and how you will never be the same again. It shows how it conflicts with your life and all it can show well that basically sums it up I can’t say anymore it is GREAT and RECOMMEND you watch it…

    “Surrogates” Movie Review

    “Surrogates” Plot Summary

Set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact through surrogate robots, a cop (Willis) is forced to leave his home for the first time in years in order to investigate the murders of others surrogates. |

    Yet another brilliant Willis thriller!

‘Surrogates’ is yet another example of just how good an actor Bruce Willis is. This is a great movie that is exciting throughout the whole thing. There are no boring parts in this movie.

This movie is about a world where almost everyone has a ’surrogate’. A surrogate is basically a robot that is controlled by your mind and lives your life for you while you lie in a special chair. The point of surrogates is that you can live the life you want without any risk to yourself. Then a weapon emerges that when fired at a surrogate can kill the person using the surrogate. This makes the whole point of surrogacy obsolete. So a cop, Tom Greer (Bruce Willis), has to investigate these murders.

The movie is full of action and excitement and certainly is one of Bruce Willis’s best action/thriller films. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in robots, action and thriller movies to watch this one.

    “The Final Destination” Movie Review

    “The Final Destination” Plot Summary

After a teen’s premonition of a deadly race-car crash helps saves the lives of his peers, Death sets out to collect those who evaded their end.

    I like 1-3 better…

I’ve enjoyed the Final Desitination series thus far. But in the 4th one I didn’t like it at all

I wish it would be a little longer than the what 80 or so minutes it is. It seemed rushed and was basically driven by death after death

The visions the teen sees are a lot more descriptive than the others in the older movies. So you can basically guess whats going to happen to the character(s).

Death now can magically move objects across the room. In the other movies death would be a wind blowing across the room that causes some object to fall over and start the death in motion. Now death moves objects itself which was less enjoyable

Finally in his premonition I wish they would have been more creative than just having like 10 characters die by being crushed by stands

What I did like about the movie though, were two of the deaths. Then escalator and the car wash attack (though the car wash scene wasn’t a death.) I still like the whole concept and I do hope they make another Final Destination movie that is improved. More realistic deaths and vaguer visions would be a far better movie.

    “Final Destination” Movie Review

    “Final Destination” Plot Summary

After having a vision of his friends crashing in a plane, he tells them not to get on only later his friends start getting killed one by one.

    Surprisingly good movie!

I went to see ‘Final Destination’ without any expectations, I havent really seen any commercials for it and theres no well known actors in it

I was surprised on how good it was. I saw a couple of comments on the IMDb before seeing it, and noticed that it was being said to be quite the same as Scream, for instance. I do not agree.’Scream’ was the first in a series of ‘new’ slasher movies, but it`s originallity really disappeared after the first one. The story of a serial killer has after ‘Scream’ been portrayed in films like: ‘I know what you did last summer’ and ‘Urban Legend’. Another likeness amongst theese movies is that there is always young people being slayed of, and that was the only thing that annoyed me a bit about *’Final Destination’ as well

On the other hand, ‘Final Destination’ is quite original when it comes to ‘the killer’. Now, i won`t give anything away, but it`s really different, and if you`re ready for something else than the story of a mad serial killer doing it over and over (Friday the 13th, Halloween, Scream, and hundreds of others…).The cast is good and the best scene is in the aircraft and when Terry decides to take the bus….Enjoy!

“Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” Movie Review

“Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” Plot Summary

An oddball journalist and his psychopathic lawyer travel to Las Vegas for a series of psychadelic escapades.

One of the best movies ever made

I always love when I turn a person onto this movie. Too many people think this movie is just about drugs and the logic of a half crazy narcissist. It has a deep underlying tone that taps into the core of American culture. The evolution of a culture has to be violent, crass & revolutionary. This movie is that. This story takes place at the end of the civil rights movement where a blind and far too conservative America changes into something else. The narration where HS Thompson is talking about that ‘wave’ sums it up. What was going on in America when this story happened? The end of Vietnam, The Civil Rights Movement, Watergate, etc. Those who went along for the ride at that time wanted to change America. Maybe it didn’t turn out the way they really wanted but what do we have now that we didn’t have before? It’s not only socially acceptable to question authority, to not do so is Un-American. Thompson was the fulcrum in this. Before him journalism was too conservative. Thompson blew this away. He was everything that needed to push America into a new era. The best thing is that he makes no apologies for anything he did. He had to open that inner-eye. That is what this movie captures and it makes no apologies. Terry Gilliam, Johnny Depp were ‘Gonzo’ enough to make this movie and they did this in the most excellent form. Johnny Depp portrayal of Thompson conveyed the message of this story perfectly. The best part about the story was the fact that it never set out to be one, it just happened. Thompson was the underlying kick in the ass that America needed to look inward and see itself for what it really was. A movie that can be a literal time capsule of the reality of a specific culture is a beautiful thing. It is even better when it isn’t America trying to speak for another culture. This movie is the reality of America as dissected by an American. It looks at itself for what it is, like a naked person in a mirror. This movie will always be a favorite for me. Whenever I can expose someone else to this it’s more precious than a bought education. Watch the movie without a joint and go beyond the chaos. Watch this movie for what it is. If you have never read the book, get off your butt and do now! Gonzo forever!
