    “Scream 2″ Movie Review

    “Scream 2″ Plot Summary

It has been two years since the tragic events at Woodsboro. Sidney Prescott and Randy Meeks are trying to get on with their lives… add synopsis

My favorite of the three films.

Two years has passed… the infamous murders at Woodsboro has turned into a movie. Since the novel is written by reporter Gale Wheaters (Courtney Cox). Two college students (Jada Pinkett Smith and Omar Epps) were killed in a sneak peak of a horror movie called ‘Stab’, which is based on Wheaters’ book. Now Sidney (Neve Campbell), Randy (Jamie Kennedy), Dewey (David Arquette), Gale and Cotton Weary (Liev Schreiber) find themselves in danger. This killer certainly wants something from Sidney, so she’s also putting her boyfriend (Jerry O’Connell) and her two friends (Timothy Olyphant & Elise Neal) in deep trouble as well

Directed by Wes Craven (The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left, Shocker) made an truly enjoyable sequel to ‘Scream’ that is even more entertaining and funnier than the original. The script by Kevin Williamson (Cursed, Teaching Miss Tingle) certainly made some truly fun writing about the rules of a sequel. This was just as a blockbusters as the original was. Some film critics (For example the late Gene Siskel) felt the sequel was much better. There’s an amusing film within the film, which those scenes are directed (uncredited) by Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids Trilogy, Grindhouse, The Faculty).

The Original DVD has an sharp non-anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer and an strong Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. DVD includes Cast & Crew information and the original theatrical trailer. The only flaw in the sequel is the conclusion, which is a bit too much. ‘Scream 2′ has many funny moments as well for suspenseful moments. A good cast certainly helps. Heather Graham, Joshua Jackson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Tori Spelling, Luke Wilson and others appears in bit parts. ‘Scream 2′ is certainly one of the better sequels has to offer these days and don’t miss it. Also available in a collector’e edition DVD with anamorphic widescreen, commentary by the filmmakers and more. Panavision. (****/*****).

“Back to the Future” Movie Review

“Back to the Future” Plot Summary

In 1985, Doc Brown invents time travel; in 1955, Marty McFly accidentally prevents his parents from meeting, putting his own existence at stake.

    the best 80s film ever.

This film is just one of a kind. The charm and wit are so good it will have you wonder how they came up with such a concept, Michael J Fox is at his best as are the rest of the cast. Humour, comedy, science fiction, this film has it all. This film will remain timeless,I would urge anyone who loves films to add this one to their list now. The special effects are still great looking and look far better then most effects today, your heart will still be in your mouth when Marty races towards the clock tower in a bid to get struck by lightning, this is a film you will watch again and again and will always put a smile on your face.

“Back to the Future Part II” Movie Review

“Back to the Future 2″ Plot Summary

After visiting 2015, Marty McFly must repeat his visit to 1955 to prevent disastrous changes to 1985… without interfering with his first trip. add synopsis

    The best sequel ever made

Continuing a movie as perfect as ‘Back To The Future’ must have been a really tough job. What made it even harder was that the writers Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale had to ignore an important character from part one. Because Crispin Glover asked for too much money, his character George McFly, Marty’s wacky Dad, hardly appears in the sequels, which constricted the storyline a lot beforehand.

Still, ‘Back To The Future II’ turned out to be a huge success, commercially and artistically. The movie is every bit as clever and delightful as part one. I think most viewers don’t realize how extremely complex this story is, because it’s so enjoyable to watch. Gale & Zemeckis wrote a screenplay that takes place in three different periods of time, changes storyline more than once, has characters interacting with themselves all the time, but never seems overdone or confusing. The most original trick the two Bobs pulled was to virtually return to part one and have the main character interfere with the original storyline. I don’t think that has ever been done before or since.

No, the movie isn’t flawless in a sense that everything can be explained logically. Bob Gale admitted himself that Marty and Doc shouldn’t be able to visit their future selves in the first place. There are a lot of impossible time travels in part two (you can read about them in detail here: http://mjyoung.net/time/back2.html). ‘Mistakes’ like that don’t take away any of the fun, though, and I still think that the ‘Back To The Future’ trilogy incorporates the logics of time traveling better than any other movie ever did.

Besides the perfect script the trilogy’s success is due to Zemeckis ever so beautiful direction and his eye for detail, and of course the great cast. Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Thomas F. Wilson and Lea Thompson, all shamelessly underrated actors, are once again brilliant. It’s a REAL pity that Crispin Glover didn’t return for the sequels, but as I’ve said before, Gale & Zemeckis did a great job writing their way around his memorable character. The only other actress that didn’t come back was Claudia Wells, who played Jennifer in part one and was appropriately replaced by Elisabeth Shue here.

Summing up, ‘Back To The Future II’ is a more than worthy follow-up to one of the best movies of all time. In fact, I think it’s the best sequel ever made, only rivaled by ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’. But that’s a different story…

    “Julie & Julia” Movie Review

    “Julie & Julia” Plot Summary

Julia Child’s story of her start in the cooking profession is intertwined with blogger Julie Powell’s 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Child’s first book. add synopsis

    yummy.

I have to say this movie met, but didn’t quite exceed my expectations. A little word of advice: don’t go see this hungry! I left wanting buy Mastering the Art of French Cooking! The story moves along nicely, but never really has a high point. Just a lot of good humor and French food. Of the two leading characters, I found Julia to be much more entertaining to watch, proving once again that Meryl Streep can do absolutely no wrong. Streep is a joy to watch as she towers over most of the extras as the 6′2 Child and captures Julia’s love of life and big personality perfectly. I smell another Oscar nomination coming her way. That doesn’t mean that Amy Adams wasn’t good, it was just that Julie wasn’t as interesting. Stanley Tucci was also very good as Paul, Julia’s husband. This movie isn’t anything spectacular but certainly doesn’t disappoint. It leaves you with a warm feeling in your heart and an empty stomach. Bon Appetit!
