All these assessments are wrong you understand the level of bad opinion of this site. Only films for intellectuals can be saved. This film was produced with many dollars and the optimal use of special effects make the place as among the best science fiction film Americans. Finitela of using double standards when judged as a movie, try to be objective because they give 3.8 a film of its kind and reward a crap how terrible sin city with 8.2 is really a ‘offense. “Sixth Sense” Movie Review

“6th Sense” Plot Summary

A boy who communicates with spirits that don’t know they’re dead seeks the help of a disheartened child psychologist. add synopsis

A surprising masterpiece!

Sometime Bruce Willis can make some bad films, like HUDSON HAWK and MERCURY RISING. And other times he can make some films that change the film industry and blow the audiences away (i.e. DIE HARD triology, 12 MONKEYS, and PULP FICTION). Now Willis’ new film, THE 6th SENSE falls in the latter catageory, as a surprising masterpiece that will leave images stuck in your mind for quite sometime. Willis plays Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist, who is quite good at his job, he has a loving wife named Anna (played by the beautiful Olivia Williams), and he just got awarded by the mayor of Philadelpia for his excellent work. Then one night, Malcolm gets a terrifying unexpected visit from one of his former patients. The visit is so terrifying, that it haunts Malcolm later on. Months later, Malcolm’s job is going downhill, and his marriage is falling apart. Then his life is changed around when he meets Cole, a eight year old boy who is considered a ‘freak’ by everybody but his mom. Cole is usually alone, scared, and has cuts and bruses on his body. The doctors and social workers think the injuries come from his mom, Lynn Sear (Toni Collette). But Lynn loves Cole too much that she wouldn’t even think of harming him. The truth is that the injuries that Cole has are from other people, people that Cole only sees, people that are dead. Cole sees dead people walking around with the living, and only Cole sees these ghostly figures. Malcolm tries to help Cole with his unique gift, and to also find out what these ghostly figures want with him. When I saw the trailers for this movie, it looked like a o.k. movie. Acutally, the preview didn’t have any effect on me at all, as for seeing this film. But when I saw this film, I was blown away on how excellent this was! This is a highly entertaining film that is scary, sad, funny, and even touching. The plot is brilliant, it has intellegence, and shows the personalities of the characters well enough that you feel like that you know them after the movie is over. The acting is also great, Willis does a good job as the doctor trying to help poor Cole. Toni Collette is also great as the suffering mom who’s very worried and protective over Cole. Oliva Williams is good as well as the suffering wife of the doctor who feels that she’s losing her husband more and more everyday. But the real surprise is Haley Joel Osment, who plays the little boy, Cole. For a child actor he’s excellent! He shows potential to becomming a great actor in years to come. He’s the next promising child actor that will hopefully do well like Elija Wood and Anna Panquin. Overall, THE 6th SENSE took me by surprised, and I ended up loving this film. I would have to place this film as one of the best films of the year, as well as for the summer films. And for a PG13 rated film, it’s quite scary! This is one film that no one should miss!!! ***** (out of five)

Good Different Movie

I actually enjoyed this movie.. i didn’t want to watch it at first because of all the bad reviews but i have no idea why people are bashing it so much.. the movie keeps you guessing like crazy and i keep hearing people talking about how offensive it is.. i have seen way worse movies when it comes to swearing and ’sex’ scenes and people have given these movies very high ratings. People that are saying this is an offensive movie need to get off their high horse.. reality is movies are like this now get over it and quit being so sensitive.. man.. I enjoyed this movie and i would say people should rent it.. if you are very easily offended by swearing and a few scenes here and there that are a little graphic then don’t watch it.. the movie is rated ‘R’ for a reason.. so no kids will be watching it unless parents allow them..

“Pulp Fiction” Plot Summary

The lives of two mob hit men, a boxer, a gangster’s wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.

amazing

this is a film that gets better and better each time you see it, the dialogue is just superb, its funny, clever and realistic, the film is set around different groups of people and each character puts in a performance, nobody lets the film down. Even if their role is only small, they still do the job.

the cinematography is inspiring, as a student it really makes me want to go out with a camera and film, the shots are clever and effective, just a beauty to watch.

the soundtrack is one of the best iv heard in a film, every song fits.

I’m not going to spoil the film or go in to much detail but it is a film you have to see, once, twice, or a hundred times…

“Alpha Dog” Movie Review

“Alpha Dog” Plot Summary

A drama based on the life of Jesse James Hollywood, a drug dealer who became one of the youngest men ever to be on the FBI’s most wanted list.

Powerful and realistic. Well done by Cassavetes and Timberlake.

Alpha Dog starts off as what seems like a movie all about a group of friends who life their idea of the American dream: doing drugs, having sex, and hanging out with each other not a care in the world. However, when their leader, Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch), decides to kidnap the brother (Anton Yelchin) of a man (Ben Foster) who owes him drug money, their perfect world begins to shatter as they realize that their mindless prank has become a situation that could get them stuck in jail for the rest of their lives.

The acting is pretty good considering the cast is mostly young men with little to no experience. First, you have Anton Yelchin, whom the plot centers around. He is the young man trying to grow up, and finds a real sense of comfort in his captors, as weird as it sounds. He does a great job building a likable, yet flawed character. The film definitely displays likable characters, but the audience has to remember that these characters are not good people. Ben Foster has always been around in my eyes, and he delivers his most intense role yet as the scary and sadistic Jake Mazursky. Very good job. Emile Hirsch is steadily developing into a good leading man after nice turns in Lords of Dogtown and The Girl Next Door. He’s the leader of the group, and he has a certain presence despite his small size that reminds the viewer who’s in command. Sharon Stone continues to defy my expectations of her after watching her in Bobby and this film. Very intense and powerful performance, which is very heartfelt at the end of the film. However, none of these performances stack up close to that of GASP Justin Timberlake. Timberlake really stood out to me in the film as Frankie, Johnny’s best friend. He develops a strong friendship with Yelchin’s character, and Timberlake really steals the show the whole time. His character is the most believable and likable of the bunch. Bruce Willis and Shawn Hatosy are also good in limited screen time (I don’t think I’ve seen Willis have this much hair in a long time).

Nick Cassavetes does a good job as director, giving us the exact opposite of his most famous work to date, The Notebook. He delivers the gritty and realistic feel of 1999 Southern California and gets great performances out of actors who you don’t really expect it from. The film definitely was better than I expected because of Justin Timberlake. I thought he would make the film worse but he made it better. It has some sex scenes and nudity, not to mention a lot of language, so Alpha Dog isn’t really appropriate for anyone under 16 or 17. With a good ensemble cast, a good script, good direction, and a heart wrenching climax, Alpha Dog is a good movie to watch.

8/10 –spy

“Whole 10 Yards” Plot Summary

Jimmy the Tulip’s (Willis) quiet new life is shaken up by his old pal Oz (Perry), whose wife (Henstridge) has been kidnapped by a Hungarian mob. The Tulip and his wife Jill (Peet) spring into action. add synopsis

I loved it!!

I loved this movie. I don’t care what others say, I think this is a fantastic movie. Sure, it may not be as good as the original, but tell me, how many sequels are really as good as the original?? The originals are always the best, because they set the scene for everything, they introduce everything, and in comedies, are actually normally a lot funnier than the sequels. In action movies, they normally have more action in them, take Bourne Identity for example, excellent movie, sequel was alright but not as good, there was less action and more talking! Matthew Perry did fall over a bit too much though. In one movie you can only fall over or crash into stuff so many times, but in this movie that may have been overused. But what matters is the comedy that is in this movie, even if some people don’t see it or understand it. The mere fact that Jimmy is wearing an apron and head scarf is hilarious! Just because he’s constantly pulling gun on Jill doesn’t mean the movie has no story, it just shows that Jimmy is still a tough hitter as he was when when he wasn’t ‘dead’.

The thing that I find annoying is that they make it so that Oz has no idea what’s going on- again!! It’s like he shouldn’t even be married to Cynthia ’cause he never has any idea what she’s talking about when she’s talking to Jimmy and/or Jill. Also, what’s with Yanni’s father being Jimmy’s dad as well?! What’s up with that? I mean, sure, it kinda fits, what with Jimmy’s occupation and attitude, but wasn’t it him and Yanni who were trying to kill him?! And, don’t the mafia classify their family as the most important thing to them apart from themselves and certain other members of the mafia??

The cast still work together terrifically, and together make it a great movie. The original is still way better than the sequel, but like I’ve already said, what original isn’t better than a sequel?! I don’t care what others think, I reckon that this movie is terrific and I would totally recommend it to anyone who’s not sure about whether or not to see it.

“Fifth Element” Plot Summary

In the colorful future, a cab driver unwittingly becomes the central figure in the search for a legendary cosmic weapon to keep Evil and Mr Zorg at bay.

The Diva Cult

This is one of my Favorite Films of All Time . It contains all the elements necessary to keep me coming back time after time . The look of the film is extraordinary . Every scene is stunning . And then there’s the futuristic element . I love all things Sci – Fi . Humor comes next . This film is damn funny . And it never gets stale . Chris Tucker is a scream as Ruby Rhod . His manic , over the top persona made him an instant star if he wasn’t already .

The enigmatic Diva . She who has launched 1000 web sites . We want to know everything about her . Who is she in real life ? Where can you get that wonderful song ? She’s nothing less than thrilling . Thankfully there’s a new DVD of The Fifth Element that explains many aspects of the Diva as well as the rest of the movie . I highly recommend it .

But there’s one thing that’s missing . Not a complaint exactly . Maybe I really don’t want to know . So if you know don’t tell me . What in the world is with the Chocolate Syrup that drips down your face when you come in contact with the Super Evil force ? That is weird squared . So enjoy The Fifth Element and Bosco for everyone !

“Surrogates” Plot Summary

Set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact through surrogate robots, a cop (Willis) is forced to leave his home for the first time in years in order to investigate the murders of others surrogates. |

Yet another brilliant Willis thriller!

‘Surrogates’ is yet another example of just how good an actor Bruce Willis is. This is a great movie that is exciting throughout the whole thing. There are no boring parts in this movie.

This movie is about a world where almost everyone has a ’surrogate’. A surrogate is basically a robot that is controlled by your mind and lives your life for you while you lie in a special chair. The point of surrogates is that you can live the life you want without any risk to yourself. Then a weapon emerges that when fired at a surrogate can kill the person using the surrogate. This makes the whole point of surrogacy obsolete. So a cop, Tom Greer (Bruce Willis), has to investigate these murders.

The movie is full of action and excitement and certainly is one of Bruce Willis’s best action/thriller films. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in robots, action and thriller movies to watch this one.

    “The Negotiator” Plot Summary

In a desperate attempt to prove his innocence, a skilled police negotiator accused of corruption and murder takes hostages in a government office to gain the time he needs to find the truth. add synopsis

    Exciting procedural thriller

An above average procedural which cashes the potential of Kevin Spacey – and the internal corruption drama of his recent LA Confidential. Hot shot negotiator Danny Roman’s been set up and, in the leave-your-common-sense-at-the-door central act of the film, takes over an entire building and will only deal with the awkward outsider Chris Sabian to negotiate the situation

This is a perfectly cast film. Spacey and Jackson are fine actors and this is really a conflagrated two-hander which requires Jackson to be an action hero occasionally. That’s exactly how it plays out, with Sabian/Spacey’s suspicions being aroused as the rules of negotiation are continually undermined and subverted. The well-executed action in the office block recalls the best bits of Die Hard. 7/10

    Good Movie

I went into this thinking it wouldn’t be that good, but I found it very enjoyable.

This is a very good ‘Turn your brain off and relax’ action movie.

For some reason, I actually enjoyed this one more than the first one.

It does start off a little slow, and some of the characters are a little stereotypical, but it has an interesting premise, an interesting story, very good action sequences, and some great performances by most of the actors in the film.

You can tell everyone was trying hard to make a fun, interesting film, and it shows.

9/10. I recommend this to anyone who just wants to relax for about 2 hours and watch an entertaining action movie. It is a little slow for about a half an hour, but I don’t feel it makes it any less enjoyable. You don’t have to think about it, you can just relax and enjoy the ride.
